Duties for the position include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining VA facilities for Veterans and their families are essential to the patient care experience at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
• Emptying trash and wastebaskets, replaces liners. Transporting general refuse, regulated medical waste and recycling to central collection areas.
• Performing a full range of light and heavy cleaning duties and routine housekeeping duties.
• Duties include cleaning wards, patient rooms, storerooms, offices, corridors, restrooms, shower rooms, and other areas.
• Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing (machine) floors, vacuuming carpets and upholstered furniture, emptying waste baskets, cleaning light globes and Venetian blinds, washing walls, windows and ceilings by climbing small ladders, refilling toilet tissue and towel dispensers and moving furniture.
• Replenishing supplies of paper towels, toilet paper, hand sanitizers, and soap in all areas where dispensers are located.
• Carrying out assignments with minimal supervision.

• Abstracts all necessary information and assigns codes (ICD-10, CPT, & HCPCS). Determines the final diagnosis and procedures stated by the physician are valid. Works with automated records systems. Assist with the review, analysis, technical evaluation of the Patient Component Encounter (PCC) form in relation to the completeness of diagnoses, procedures, and provider signatures.
• Conducts quality control and improvement tracking and identifying inadequate documentation. Communicating program software and hardware programs and maintaining workload logs. Generates daily error reports, performs error resolution activities, manages monthly database activities, ensures transmission are complete, and submits monthly data quality improvement reports.
• Manages and provides oversight of clinical documentation improvement program, manages the charge master system, works with the meaningful use coordinator to ensure data capture occurs, maintains comprehensive audit trails and logs for all processes performed, generation of various transmission reports, visit summaries, completes coders accuracy audits, and provides feedback to coders and clinical staff as required.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning and implementing the execution of preventive and corrective programs within schedule in compliance to regulatory standards and requirements.
• Perform troubleshooting/ faut diagnosis/ failure analysis to determine cause of failure for equipment.
• Development of Standard Operating procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) to technicians to develop their competence.
• Develop and perform Risk Assessments to evaluate mitigation measures for all maintenance activities.
• Establish and maintain proper document system to achieve all jobs internally for sharing and audit purposes.
• Assist in identification, planning and reviewing of necessary training needs for mentoring and coaching of maintenance staffs.
• Preparation and write maintenance and spares consumption report.
• Perform other duties as instructed by Management.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or related discipline
• 2–3 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to relate work with different stakeholders
• Proficiency in Excel, Words and Powerpoint
• Able to think and work independently and as a team member in a challenging environment
