Exciting opportunities have arisen within the Facilities Team, we aim to recruit two new Facilities Team Administrators.
• 1 x 37.5 hours Monday - Friday

The role will be based in our Ellesmere Port Regional Distribution Unit (RDU) two days per week supporting the Management Team, with three days per week in situ across our Inpatient and Community sites across Wirral and Cheshire supporting the wider Facilities Team.

The role will require somebody who has flexibility with travelling across our Trust wide Sites, with access to transport, travel costs would be reimbursed via the relevant policy and any travel would be included within the working hours.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent General Building Operative to join our Ministry of Justice (MoJ) account in HMP Liverpool, 68 Hornby Road, Liverpool, L9 3DF, this role is based on-site, accessible by public transport and with free parking available.

General Building Operative plays an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the prisons is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner.



The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week (across 7 days where a weekend shift pattern is in place), between 07:45 and 16:45.

You will be responsible for:



To work in a team to provide general maintenance tasks and support tradespeople on site.
Provide a professional assistance service to those requesting support including contractor escorting duties when required.
Complete tasks associated with DIY such as Decorating, hanging notice boards, building furniture, repair of items around the prison.
Checking appliances, fittings and general environment are in good working order and all defects reported to Team Leader.
General good housekeeping, including litter picking and landscaping around the grounds if required.
All other FM duties as required directed by team manager.
This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.


What makes this role unique is you will support the engineers in all maintenance across the site as well as working independently. Prison Security Clearance will be required (Amey will support you through this process).



We want to hear from you if you have:

Solid experience in DIY/ general building maintenance.
CITB relevant certification or equivalent.
Willingness to learn new skills.
Ability to work well in a team.


Ideally you will be qualified in a trade with experience in general maintenance.



In addition to this, it would be desirable if you have time management skills and experience working within a large site area, although this is not essential as we will provide you with the required development you need to bring you up to speed.

Your new role as an interim maintenance team leader means you will lead a shift-based team of maintenance engineers, whilst also getting involved in the work of the maintenance department, carrying out work including TPM, to ensure the constant running of all plant equipment and facilities, with minimal downtime.

I'm working with a public sector authority in the Merseyside region, who are looking for a maintenance officer to join their facilities division, and oversee on-site reactive and planned maintenance.

Your new role
The main purpose of this role is to deliver a reactive and planned maintenance service covering a 24/7 operation. You will organise on-site rotas for designated buildings across the estate, and ensure all work completed is in line with agreed standards.

Primary duties will involve:
- Manage the technical functions of the estates, including reactive and planned maintenance, M&E repairs
- Manage and supervise on-site contractors
- Oversee the estates and facilities management provision and provide technical insights to contractors
- Support the improvement of estate systems to reduce reactive repairs
- Carry out damage and accident investigations in the built environment
- Provide updates on the maintenance strategy for senior leadership team

What you'll need to succeed
- Hold a recognised building, electrical, mechanical qualification (minimum HNC or NVQ level 4)
- Evidence 5 years post qualification experience within a built environment
- Knowledge of statutory regulations including asbestos, IOSH

SALARY: NJC Grade E 7 - 11 (£24,294 - £25,979) per annum (pro-rata)



HOURS: 36 Hours per week. Permanent (Term Time plus 15 days)



LOCATION: MAGHULL HIGH SCHOOL



The governors are seeking to appoint a Science Technician. The successful candidate will be an energetic and conscientious individual with a good degree of flexibility to support the delivery of practical science across all science specialisms. With limited instruction or guidance, the post holder will assist teachers in the preparation and maintenance of teaching resources, equipment and science facilities.



The technician may also be required to support within lessons where specialist equipment is being used, or additional supervision/instruction is required.



The ideal candidate will have the highest of expectations and aspirations for themselves and others. They will be innovative, creative and ideally will have up-to-date knowledge of scientific equipment and materials, including the safe storage and disposal of used chemicals, Health and Safety, COSHH, CLEAPSS and other relevant legislation.



The Maghull High Science Department currently consists of 10 teaching staff, 10 dedicated labs including 2 new labs, 2 preparation rooms and 1 chemical store with equipment and resources for the teaching of KS3, GCSE, A Levels and BTEC qualifications.

Your new role
As the Electrical Maintenance Engineer you will be reporting into the Engineering Manager whilst working on a double day shift pattern (6-2 2-10). Within this role you will be expected to deliver preventative maintenance (ppm) activities alongside reactive breakdowns of the machinery, you will be responsible for the swift changeover of machinery parts and supporting your mechanical biassed colleagues in similar duties. You will be expected to work with PLC systems.

What you'll need to succeed
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be required to hold an HND, HNC OR OND within an electrical/mechanical or similar related maintenance field. You will need to have the availability to work on a triple-day work pattern (6-2, 2-10,10-6). The business does operate Monday - Friday.
