NDT On-site Technician

We are currently recruiting for an NDT On-Site Technician to join the team to determine and provide solutions to meet our contractual arrangements to deliver on-site non-destructive testing (NDT) and technical reporting in accordance with applicable requirements and standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Actively support the Technical Manager NDT Methods plan and prepare documentation, personnel, and equipment to achieve contract delivery.
- SRTS customer liaison for on-site activities.
- Must have PCN qualifications in Ultrasonic Axle Testing preferably level 2, other PCN qualifications such as Eddy Current, MPI or DPI would be an advantage
- Responsible person for on-site problem solving and decision making to achieve customer delivery.
- Provide remote support to the NDT Field Engineering team/customers as required.
- Responsible for ensuring the tools, equipment and PPE required for team on-site activities are in supply, in-date calibration (including and stand-by spares).
- Identify and lead improvement activities.
- Seek business development opportunities.
- Ensure work is conducted in accordance with all relevant standards and Health and Safety standards.
- Demonstrate professionalism when communicating with customers, prospects, and external authorities.
- Support the technical and professional development of the NDT Field Engineering team.
- Deliver technical findings/reports to SRTS and (as required) to the customer.
- Actively represent SRTS in external arenas
What do I need to do the role?
- A registered and qualified NDT Engineer.
- A range of practical and technical experience (minimum 5 years)
- Detailed technical knowledge of the equipment, the selection, set-up and use
- The ability to plot theoretical axle test patterns and substantiate outcomes
- The ability to author technical procedures in readiness for technical checking and approval
- Competent in the use of SRTS in-house NDT facilities and equipment
- Competent in SRTS process and procedures
- Lead identification of issues to support customer driven resolution
- Work within personal/professional limitations, and actively seek support/guidance where applicable to maintain continuous professional development
