(1.) Responsible for the total squadron maintenance program, manages the overall direction of the maintenance effort, and enforces safe maintenance practices. In addition, responsible for identifying, assembling, and managing critical equipment items. Priority is placed on aircraft supporting operational requirements, scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, and aircraft used for maintenance and/or operations training. The focus is on aircraft generation in order to meet mission requirements. Incumbent has maintenance authority on airworthiness of aircraft based on knowledge of aircraft systems and safety of flight concerns. Ensures that a pilot pickup is accomplished for critical parts in order to expedite repairs of Not-Mission-Capable aircraft that receive the highest priority and depends on the critical need for the aircraft and its return to service. May verify Mission Capable (MICAP) requisitions.

(2.) Participates in establishing the monthly and weekly maintenance plans. Attends the daily maintenance planning meetings for the purpose of incorporating unscheduled maintenance into the weekly and daily maintenance plans. Evaluates workload requirements and makes changes to aircraft utilization schedules as required. Takes prompt and decisive action to make on-the-spot adjustments to maintenance repair priorities necessitated by unscheduled maintenance requirements.

(3.) Controls and coordinates maintenance activity on the flightline. Monitors aircraft maintenance in progress and evaluates estimated completion time against scheduling and planning requirements. Anticipates problems and directs changes of flightline activities in order to meet mission schedules.

(4.) May be required to coordinate with supervisors to select workers and assign tasks to be performed. When necessary, initiates action to resolve personnel shortages and coordinates requirements with the Maintenance Operations Center (MOC). Reviews work in progress or upon completion for compliance with policies and procedures. Ensures utilization of proper tools and equipment and adherence to technical data in performance of maintenance. Determines methods necessary to meet mission requirements including authorizing and directing cannibalization on assigned aircraft. Cannibalization actions will be coordinated with the MOC and Supply. Ensures aircraft status is accurately reported in accordance with Air Force instructions, reports, and applicable supplements. Works closely with the expediter and MOC to ensure that actual aircraft status matches the aircraft status reported in the automated reporting system.

(5.) Understands, executes, and coordinates specific disaster control duties including the provisions contained Air Force instructions, with regard to movement of aircraft, support equipment, and evacuation of flightline personnel. Decisions will be made based on safeguarding personnel first, followed by protecting aircraft, equipment, and other resources. Maintains a current on-base disaster map with cordon overlay and appropriate checklists for use during disasters or exercises.

• Serves as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist who performs test procedures in all areas including Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Microbiology, Serology, and Phlebotomy.

Position located in the Health Services Department at a Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) correctional facility.

Primarily responsible for providing emergency assessment and medical care to inmate patients.

First responder at the scene of sudden illness or emergency and sometimes encounters situations which may be life threatening.

Determines, upon consultation with a medical provider (physician/physician assistant/nurse practitioner), the most appropriate method of transportation to the local hospital.

Prioritizes treatments for patients having multiple problems and employs a variety of established medical emergency procedures, techniques, methods and equipment, including the performance of emergency triage.

Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.

The major duties of this position include but are not limited to:

• Provides quality assurance with validation, including proofreading and review; while adhering to all applicable VHA and ILEAD processes and standards in the BIS/TRACE SPE, VA TMS and other ILEAD managed Learning Management Systems.

(1) Receipt and Accountability of federal property: Analyzes possible redistribution of equipment through transfer, loan or assignment. Reviews and processes external as well as internal loans/leases that may impact readiness or mission requirements. Processes and accounts for through agency coordination the in coming and outgoing federal property assignment. Processes and tracks equipment changes in Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTOE) or Table of Distribution and Allowance (TDA). Process electronic requests for TDA and MTOE changes through NGB to DA to achieve the actual Letter of Authorization (LOA). Reviews and requests LOA for Discretionary items, Commercial non-Standard items, Common Table of Allowance (CTA) items, and non-Property Book Unit Supply Enhanced (PBUSE) system. Monitors and maintains tracking and accountability of all Rapid Fielding Initiatives within the state or unit of assignment. Reviews all commercial requests for property, Procurement Web (PR WEB), Delivery Orders for authorizations. Performs extensive fact finding, investigating and recommends corrective action to resolve problems. Coordinates with Force Integration Readiness Officer and establishes a suspense file for equipment authorizations awaiting MTOE/TDA/CTA changes. Manages receipt documents for the Total Package Fielding, Rapid Fielding Initiative and Special Procured federal property from any source.

(2) Property Redistribution: Works with units assigned in dealing with distribution and redistribution of Equipment and Assets. Redistributes Equipment intra and inter state. Using redistribution programs and standard logistics STAMIS programs and guidance from NGB, DA and LOGSA initiates actions for proper transfer and movement.

(3) Property Asset Reporting: Performs Quarterly Equipment on hand analysis by unit identification code (UIC) to improve equipment accountability to ensure all UIC units are validated on. Manages and analyzes the Unique Item Tracking (UIT) reports to LOGSA for sensitive and high visibility assets. Coordinates all activities for Property Book officers when there is a UIC that is located in multiple states.

(4) Reconciliations: Validates state asset visibility and accountability of federal assets using PBUSE. Initiates and recommends unit visits for performance of reconciliations. Assists with and monitors posting as the result of unit reconciliations (Annual, change of PBO or change of Command). Provides expertise, recommendations and training directly to Property Book Officers, Supply Personnel or Unit Personnel for property accountability procedures. Resolves inventory problems and where items may be lost or damaged and is must be able to use judgment as applicable regulations may be ambiguous.

(5) Mobilization and Support Responsibilities: Reviews, validates and establishes accountability for mobilizing units and organizations. Performs inventories, site visits and coordination with the state mobilization office to insure accountability and proper property books are established for deploying activities.

(6) Customer Support: Processes PBUSE reject reports, performs S-Tops system administration, updates Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) internally and for UIC units, initiates Letters of Instruction to units and organizations, processes and manages Standard Study Number-Line Item Number Automated Management and Integrating System (SLAMIS) transactions. Process unit and activity requests for Department of Defense Activity Address Code (DODAAC). Prepares state, NGB, DA and DOD directed reports that deal with property accountability and visibility.

(7) Performs a wide range of supply actions to accomplish required duties. Uses multiple supply systems and supply data files.

(1) Performs limited diagnosis, routine repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical and automotive vehicles. Assists higher graded mechanics in the repair and/or overhaul of major systems to include internal combustion engines, turbine engines, automatic and non-automatic transmissions, heavy duty drive line systems, and hydraulic utility systems and controls. Makes routine repairs that can be accomplished by removing, adjusting, or replacing defective or worn parts and components. Performs work in accordance with technical manuals, lubrication orders, maintenance bulletins, regulations or management policies.

• At the full performance (GS-11) level you will perform the duties below, but not limited to the following:
• Design, calibrate, and evaluate sampling techniques and instruments used to evaluate hazards resulting from inhalation, ingestion, skin absorption, heat and pressure extremes, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, noise and vibration and ergonomics.
