The primary purpose of this position is to provide patient care and support to routine and specialized procedures for a staff of Podiatric surgeons.
Major duties include, but not limited to:

• Performs a variety of specialized clinic procedures such as preliminary examination and evaluation of patients.
• Prepares podiatric work-up (show fitting, monofilament testing, etc.).
• Performs a variety of standardized and routine procedures that are not invasive (debriding corns and calluses, trimming nails and providing blister care).
• Requests, obtains and prepares aerobic cultures and pathology specimens.
• Provides prophylactic instruction on nail and blister care.
• Performs prep and variety of ankle/foot tapings in treatment for injuries.
• Writes history, findings and treatments in outpatient records in the appropriate format.

• Make on-the-spot decisions and commitments to avoid delays in construction.
• Investigate all construction and service phases to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Interpret contract documents to determine contract requirements.
• Formulate inspection schedules to ascertain compliance with contract requirements.

• Perform a variety of professional direct health care clinical duties within the field of Occupational medicine to student trainees, military members, contractors, and eligible employees at the Chemical Defense Training Facility.
• Examine workers and assigns elements of examination to meet occupational requirements; and determines the need for and orders laboratory tests, X-rays and other procedures necessary to complete assessment of the patient.
• Identify conditions consistent with disease, illness, disorders, or injury; institutes treatment of patients; and will discuss case with consultants.
• Record entries into patient's chart including progress notes, treatment rendered, tests or procedures ordered, and recommendations.
