We are looking for an Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Bristol Hospital and play your part in building a healthier nation. Supporting out team of busy ophthalmic consultant, you will perform relevant tests for each patient at their clinic appointment, helping with the smooth running of the clinic.

As our Ophthalmic Technician, you will:

• Help manage the patient clinics.

• Perform HFA, I-profiler, and OCT testing on patients during the clinics and at other times to suit the patients.

• Assist with pre-operative assessment of patients prior to cataract surgery.

• Ensure Medical Records and kept as per protocol.

• Ensure privacy dignity and safeguarding of all patients.

• Checking VA.

• Carrying out visual field testing, biometry, OCT scanning and corneal topography.

To succeed as an Ophthalmic Technician, you will need:

• Experience/competency in the testing of patients with specialised ophthalmic equipment.

• Sweeping of leaves in Autumn months to keep paths clear.

We are seeking Technicians to join our Hospital Sterile Services Unit Team in our Cambridge HSSU. If you're enthusiastic, motivated and you've previously worked in a sterile services environment, this is an exciting opportunity to join the UK's largest Healthcare Charity. As a Sterile Services Technician at our Cambridge HSSU Hub, you'll bring a basic standard of general education with proven literacy and numeracy skills. You're organised with good communication skills, attention to detail and an overarching desire to deliver a high quality service. You'll be able to handle manual handling duties up to 13kg. Ideally, you're able to show evidence of sterile services training.

As a Sterile Services Technician, you will:

• Help to ensure all equipment is in good working order, assist in the preparation of sterile and/or disinfected medical devices, under controlled conditions, to meet customer requirements.

• Regularly check medical equipment for damage and report any faults

• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment whilst checking medical devices for cleanliness, functionality and damage

• Take action to resolve any problems and monitor stock issues as they arise and advise their line manager when goods need to be re-ordered.
