The principal function of the position is that of a psychologist providing specialized neuropsychological assessment services.

Exercises full professional responsibility for his/her findings, interpretations, decisions, recommendations and reports, and for providing full professional clinical services to inmates in the medical center.

Responsible for performing neuropsychological evaluations on both sentenced and unsentenced federal detainees, including those referred for forensic evaluation.

Periodically appraises the attitudes, personality dynamics and overall level of adjustment of inmates resulting from participation in current institutional programs.

Plans and implements both individual and group psychotherapy on a regularly scheduled basis. Conducts individual interviews and crisis intervention sessions as required.

The Health System Specialist supports the Director's Office by coordinating and directing a limited range of operational matters dealing with planning, congressional issues, Veterans Service Organizations (VSOs), the media, and overseeing and coordinating service networks initiatives with central offices. The incumbent maintains a working knowledge of administrative and managerial processes unique to the agency and veteran health initiatives, such as budget distribution models, emergency management, Joint Commission, compliance, etc. The work involves investigating and analyzing a variety of problems and recommending appropriate solutions. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:

• Monitoring and managing incoming actions and requests from initial receipt to completion and closeout.

As a HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC (TITLE 32) with the Texas Air National Guard, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

• Repairs, adjust, overhauls, performs major repairs, and maintenance on military and commercial designed heavy mobile equipment and special purpose vehicles. Inspects repairs, overhauls and tests major systems including gasoline, diesel, electric powered hybrid, multi-fuel, turbine, and other types of internal combustion engines, which may be turbo-charged or blower assisted, automatic or manual transmissions, including those with power take offs, cross-drive transmissions, hydraulic, electric, pneumatic systems and controls, fluid pumping systems, turrets, winches and four wheel steering systems. Develop or improvise methods, alter parts, and make repairs in the absence of technical guidelines. Modify parts to fit, or improvises modifications to equipment to correct recurring malfunctions. Makes design modifications to meet special requirements, make adjustment or performs tests. Removes, disassembles overhauls, modifies, adjusts, and repairs, engines, transmissions, or sub-assemblies in accordance with the proper procedures and specifications. Reassembles engines, transmissions, and sub-assemblies, makes adjustments, tests and reinstalls in vehicles and equipment. Determines serviceability by operational driving test.
• Performs body repair and corrosion control, refinishes and repaints surfaces as required. Repairs and/or replaces body parts, locks, glass, etc. and determines if additional repairs are required. Repairs may be accomplished by using welding equipment, power tools, hand tools and other specialized equipment. Cleans, tests, and repairs radiators/oil coolers and associated parts. Test, services, and repairs vehicle air conditioning systems following manufacturers and environmental guidelines. Replaces or repairs tires, tubes and balances wheel assemblies.
• Prepares, maintains and submits applicable maintenance work orders for man-hour and data collection accounting, to include completing forms to reflect work performed or delayed and parts and maintenance required. The ICC Health System Specialist for Diagnostics is responsible for supporting VISN 19 clinical leadership in coordinating, planning, implementing, and monitoring activities to ensure the rapid information exchange and performance improvement which enables the attainment of data-driven clinical goals and improved access to high quality care in VISN 19 Diagnostic Programs.

Major duties of the Health Systems Specialist for the Diagnostics ICC position include, but are not limited to:

1. Manages the Army Information Systems Security (Telecommunications) (COMSEC) program. Within the COMSEC account environment, for maintains all aspects of account management. Responsible for the physical protection and accountability of all COMSEC material and equipment. Maintains and implements emergency operation plans to protect all COMSEC material and equipment during floods, fire, tornadoes, etc.
