• Engineers the base LAN/WAN systems, architecture designs and monitors new network systems, configures, and installs network hardware/software, and maintains optimal LAN operations. Independently installs, configures, and troubleshoots network and application server hardware, operating system software, and peripheral network equipment such as routers, bridges, cabling system, network interface cards, modems, multiplexers, and concentrator.
• Develops and implements configuration management plans to ensure optimization of connectivity between remote sites throughout the installation. Develops and maintains local procedures for networks, system operations, and product assembly and installation.
• Constructs performance data collections and conducts analysis of current procedures and makes quality improvement recommendations to AFTC leadership. Develops and provides technical training on networks and network management software.

• Serves as a senior technical advisor. The primary purpose of this position is: as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) accomplishes area expertise for secure computer and long-haul communications systems for the Operations of the Airlift Control Flight (ALCF)/Contingency Response Element (CRE). Additionally, provides weekday training and support to reserve personnel at home station and temporary duty (TDY) locations world-wide.

Duties:
1: Accomplishes ALCF/CRE secure/non-secure communication (Comm)/aerospace ground equipment (AGE) activities.

2: Responsible for COMSEC Management and Training. Responsible for Operational Security (OPSEC) Management and Training.

3: Manages AGE equipment. Performs a variety of administrative services in support of the unit program management.

4: Provides Client Support Administrator (CSA) services to support network applications.

The primary purpose of this position is: To Serve as an expert computer/network systems engineer for the functional area of airborne and terrestrial network engineering and the integration of those networks and systems onto the Air Force Network. This position is responsible for engineering, integration and technical evaluation of communications and Information Technology (IT) solutions for use by the operational Air Force and other DoD agencies in support of the warfighter, which includes the 17 most senior US leaders up to and including the President of the US (POTUS). Performs integration engineering and evaluation of a vast array of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) network and infrastructure products for Air Force users in the airborne and terrestrial networking environment.

DUTIES:

• Serves as a Computer Engineer expert conducting authoritative engineering design, evaluation, and security assessments of airborne and/or terrestrial networks, and IT systems.
• Develops original and creative airborne and/or terrestrial communications and IT network/systems documentation products used by Air Force personnel.
• Provides expert airborne and/or terrestrial networks engineering to include: managerial, procedural, and policy guidance.
• Manages assigned tasks to include representing AFNIC, AFSPC and other MAJCOMs. Manages assignments and directs tasks in accordance with established schedules.

As a HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC (TITLE 32) with the Texas Air National Guard, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

• Repairs, adjust, overhauls, performs major repairs, and maintenance on military and commercial designed heavy mobile equipment and special purpose vehicles. Inspects repairs, overhauls and tests major systems including gasoline, diesel, electric powered hybrid, multi-fuel, turbine, and other types of internal combustion engines, which may be turbo-charged or blower assisted, automatic or manual transmissions, including those with power take offs, cross-drive transmissions, hydraulic, electric, pneumatic systems and controls, fluid pumping systems, turrets, winches and four wheel steering systems. Systematically analyzes malfunctions and the cause of mechanical failure by means of visual and auditory checks, uses computer-controlled test equipment, engine analyzers, compression testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters and pressure gauges in order to determine the exact nature of extent of repairs or adjustments necessary to complete work. Use specialized diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot problems in complex state-of-the-art electric and electronic systems to identify and replace defective components such as computer control modules, sensors, solenoids, digitized components, and circuits. Develop or improvise methods, alter parts, and make repairs in the absence of technical guidelines. Modify parts to fit, or improvises modifications to equipment to correct recurring malfunctions. Makes design modifications to meet special requirements, make adjustment or performs tests. Removes, disassembles overhauls, modifies, adjusts, and repairs, engines, transmissions, or sub-assemblies in accordance with the proper procedures and specifications. Reassembles engines, transmissions, and sub-assemblies, makes adjustments, tests and reinstalls in vehicles and equipment. Determines serviceability by operational driving test.
• Performs body repair and corrosion control, refinishes and repaints surfaces as required. Repairs and/or replaces body parts, locks, glass, etc. and determines if additional repairs are required. Repairs may be accomplished by using welding equipment, power tools, hand tools and other specialized equipment. Cleans, tests, and repairs radiators/oil coolers and associated parts. Test, services, and repairs vehicle air conditioning systems following manufacturers and environmental guidelines. Replaces or repairs tires, tubes and balances wheel assemblies.
• Prepares, maintains and submits applicable maintenance work orders for man-hour and data collection accounting, to include completing forms to reflect work performed or delayed and parts and maintenance required. Assists in establishing and maintaining adequate shop stock, special levels parts, and appropriate shop support equipment and tools. Inspect, maintains, and operates all appropriate shop equipment. Researches and assists in requisitioning materials, parts and equipment necessary to perform the vehicle maintenance/management mission. Assists in review and updating maintenance technical orders, shop operating instructions, commercial publications, MAJCOM and local publications, as well as other pertinent directives. Provides expert support to the Customer Service Center to various unit members.
• Participates as OJT Instructor in the vehicle maintenance area. Conducts instructional classes on methods and procedures of operation and maintenance concerning all aspects of vehicle repairs and assigned shop maintenance support equipment. Duties and Responsibilities: Serves as the Information Technology Specialist with the responsibility of testing, diagnosing, and improving and maintain application software for the 319th Force Support Squadron consisting of 10 flights. Under general supervision, performs routine and recurring assignments in the delivery of Information Technology Customer Support Services for the 319 Force Support Squadron. Participates in the planning and delivery of a full range of Information technology customer support services to the organization. As project manager, performs site surveys of facility infrastructures for all large- and small-scale projects to guarantee requirements are with IT advancements and industry standards. As System Administrator performs routine maintenance, backups and security updates to 319 FSS workstations, servers and application software for minimum down time of operations. Using systems diagnostic tools and fault identification techniques, run test to verify operability and functionality of computer programs. Acts as liaison between network contractors, 319th Communications Squadron and commercial vendors to properly convey mission requirements for 319th FSS. Provides support for all 319th FSS catered events during on and off duty hours.
