The Network Technician is responsible for installing, amending, and removing unnecessary cablings and other network peripherals. The activities may include but not limited to:

•     Install well-functioning computer networks, connections, and cabling.

•     Perform troubleshooting to system failures and identify bottlenecks to ensure long term efficiency of network.

•     Inspect LAN infrastructure and fix minor or major problems/bugs.

•     Test and configure software and maintain and repair hardware and peripheral devices.

•     Evaluate network performance and find ways of improvement

Responsibilities

· Provide technical expertise on analyzing and providing best solution on complex technical issues in timely and efficiently;

· Engage with various teams on resolution and maintain effective communication between stakeholders;

· Manage vendor performance through service level management;

· Enhance existing support process to maintain/improve service level and quality;

Skills/Requirement

· Up to 8 years of IT experience & 5+ Years on Channels and Payment applications in banking/financial services industry.

· Knowledge on G3 and SWIFTalliance is preferred.

· Possess good knowledge on 3 tiers-architecture application to:
Provide L2 support – Be able to understand the application architecture, and interfaces to upstream/downstream.

· Support day-to-day IT operations – production issue resolution.

· Analyse issue raised by users or reported by monitoring system.

· Perform impact analysis and suggest workaround solution for service recovery.

· Strong troubleshooting skills for complex network problems.

· Logical and analytical thinking with excellent problem-solving abilities.

· Experience with VXLAN, SDA, SDWAN, and advanced network protocols.

Maintain and develop all Linux and Windows infrastructure technology to upkeep the services.

Define and document best practices and support procedures on managing systems and services across all environments

Proactively monitor system performance and capacity planning, support disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution

Fault finding, analysis of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions

Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware

Maintain and monitor all patch releases, design patch installation strategies, and maintain all systems according to NIST standardization.

Identify and rectify any complex OS issues, ensure high availability and resiliency of production systems

Handle the recovery and restoration of servers, provide technical assistance in system diagnostics, documentation, and errors.

Collaborate with COTS (External) Support Team for scheduled system upgrade, troubleshooting and rectification

Provide after-hours support for scheduled maintenance, infrastructure related emergencies as well as occasional weekend maintenance.
