We have a great opportunity for a Cluster Assistant Human Resources Manager to join us in the Dublin area at Leonardo Hotels. Reporting to the Cluster Human Resources Manager, and supporting with the management of a small HR team, you would provide quality HR leadership, support, coaching and guidance for your cluster, and support the Group HR team in all areas of delivering the HR strategy.

The hotels within the Dublin Cluster are as follows, Leonardo Hotel Parnell Street, Leonardo Hotel Christchurch, NYX Dublin Portobello and Leonardo Head Office. Due to the operational nature of our business, presence is important in our hotels and offices, however we are open to discussing flexible working options including working from home one day a week where required.

Here are some of the role’s key responsibilities:

• Recruitment and Selection: Getting the right people is key to our success and we are looking for an Assistant Cluster HR Manager who can offer coaching to hiring managers on recruitment activities, develop the hotels’ succession plans and manage the Labour Turnover Strategy for the cluster
• Compliance: Getting the basics right is really important to us. As an Assistant Cluster HR Manager, you will ensure the implementation of people related policies and procedures, best practice and current legislation, and take ownership for such procedures ensuring that all managers are compliant including all right to work documentation and working time procedures
• Learning and Development: We are proud of our Learning and Development programs and have an array of opportunities and training for all levels of employees. As an Assistant Cluster HR Manager, you will monitor and communicate all training within teams and ensure personal development plans are in action for employees, identify local training needs, and oversee group induction process
• Payroll: Our line managers take first line responsibility for ensuring their team’s working hours are processed correctly, however the HR team are responsible for processing weekly/monthly payroll, including monthly sign off, and supporting the General Managers with preparing the annual payroll budget and bonus plans. In HR, you would as escalation point for any payroll queries
• Employee Relations: As an Assistant Cluster HR Manager, you will provide leadership in all aspects of employment law, which would include coaching line managers with investigations and any other formal meetings, and advise management teams in all aspects of people management. Employee wellbeing is at the heart of what we do, and making time for quality conversations, listening to employees and feeling confident in signposting them appropriately is really important to us.
• Engagement: We want to ensure that our teams are happy and engaged with the company culture and as an Assistant Cluster HR Manager, you will support with the development and delivery of the HR Strategy for each of the hotels within the cluster, and drive engagement by ensuring local operations teams have monthly engagement calendars with planned activities. Our ideal Cluster Assistant HR Manager will have:

• Previous experience in a single-site or cluster HR Manager role with responsibility for managing direct reports to deliver a quality HR service
• Background in hotels or service sector is preferred, so that you will understand how we work
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law legislation, good HR practice and its application, including previous experience of advising on disciplinary/grievance matters
• CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD accreditation
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to support all levels of the team, influence senior managers and build effective working relationships
• Ability to multi task and enjoy making decisions in a fast paced environment
• Be confident in using computer systems, from payroll to our employee app
• To be able to coach and develop the management team in HR policy and processes
• To have knowledge of running payroll is desirable

We have a great opportunity for a Cluster Human Resources Officer to join us in the Dublin area at Leonardo Hotels. As a member of the HR team, you would provide quality HR support, coaching and guidance for your cluster and assist the Cluster HR Manager with the delivery of the HR strategy.

In this position you would be working within the HR department, which covers our Leonardo Parnell Street, Leonardo Christchurch, Leonardo Head Office and NYX Dublin Portobello properties. You’ll be primarily based in Leonardo Parnell Street & Leonardo Christchurch with occasional travel to other hotels in your cluster, where necessary. This is an HR generalist role, so you’ll be involved in many different activities within the department! Here are some of the role’s key responsibilities:

• Recruitment and Selection: support the end-to-end recruitment process including shortlisting, arranging interviews, onboarding activities and reference checks
• Compliance: maintain personnel files as appropriate, ensure risk assessments are carried out and comply with company policies, procedures and initiatives
• Learning and Development: support the delivery of new starter induction, and use the Learning Management System to carry out reporting and ensure all admin is completed, such as keying promotions, removing leavers and maintaining training attendance records

Purpose:

This is a key HR operational management role reporting into the Head of People and Culture. The HR Operations Manager is responsible for delivering on the HR agenda with other DBS HR team members. HR Operations and Administration

• Recruitment - Assist and support the HR executive on all aspects of recruitment when necessary through Workday;

• Support managers to ensure the setting of effective SMART objectives and the timely completion of annual appraisal processes, implementing guidelines and training utilising the Workday system;

• Manage the operations and administration of all employee lifecycle milestones e.g. on boarding, performance appraisals, training, exit interviews;

• Ad hoc projects - work on various ad - hoc projects as and when required;

• Provide advice and support to the all key stakeholders within DBS;

Information, Data Management and Reporting

• Ensure all workday files and the HR shared file have all up to date information on employees in relation to contracts, personal details, qualifications, Passports, visas (if required);

• Monitor and manage contracts in accordance with the academic working group guidelines and be a member of the ADWG working Group;

• Ensure Workday is working to capacity by cleansing data on a timely basis so as to generate accurate reports;

• Work closely with the HR Team to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of data requests and various ad-hoc reports as and when required;

• Administer the monthly payroll and ensure all compensation and benefits activities are carried out efficiently and accurately (e.g. DBS Death in Service, Pension, Health Insurance, PRSA schemes etc.);

• Adopt a continuous improvement approach to reviewing, standardising and simplifying payroll processes and procedures;

• Assist with the benchmarking of salary data and job levelling for the salary review process;

• Ensure we are compliant with the minimum wage and living wage directives;

• Work closely with the HR Team to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of various ad-hoc reports to fulfil the needs of the HR team as well as business and external stakeholders;

• Work on various requests as directed by Kaplan Group e.g. Provision of CSO and management statistics;

• Manage and monitor the HR Budget;

• Deliver exceptional HR advice and service to the Head of People and Culture and all College stakeholders.

Compliance

• Support the HR team to ensure compliance issues are identified and prevented.

• Escalate issues to the Head of People and Culture as appropriate to ensure the above obligations are met.

Employee Relations

• Provide advice and support to DBS Managers in relation to absence management, probation, performance, conduct, capability, redundancy, grievance, equality/diversity/inclusion, recruitment and selection, and all other HR and ER issues;

• Ensure all advice is provided and is in line with employment law legislation in relation to contracts, policies and procedures;

• Assist the Head of People and Culture with preparation of any potential employment tribunal claims;

Person Specification and Competencies Essential Experience

• Minimum of 6/7 years’ experience working in a HR environment as a senior HRBP of HR Manager;

• A significant track record of success in providing comprehensive HR support to relevant business units and key stakeholders within an organisation;

• Sound understanding of current employment legislation and its practical implications

• Experience in delivering projects in a commercial environment;

• IT literate with an excellent knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint and Google equivalents;

• Workday is desirable;

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

The position of the Student Recruitment Officer (International Markets) has responsibility, reporting to the Sales Manager, to recruit students from key International Markets in accordance with agreed targets, as well as ensuring the smooth flow of students through the recruitment pipeline. The post is a combination of office-based activity including administrative work and international travel representing DBS at agent fairs, partner institutions, International Days,  and other events in global markets as required.

International Travel will be a key requirement of this role.

Specific responsibilities of the Student Recruitment Officer for International Markets will include: 

• Travel to key markets across the globe including Africa, the Americas & Asia, representing DBS 

• Recruitment of students from global markets in accordance with agreed targets. 

• Developing and managing agent/partner relationships for the College to support the delivery of our Internationalisation strategic objectives. 

• Arrange visits/meetings to agents in key markets as per an agreed travel plan 

• To build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders including academic staff, academic operations staff, Admissions teams, Student Experience and Careers and to work collaboratively with these stakeholders to support international recruitment.

• Work with the Marketing team in developing relevant marketing communications for International partners and their students and building marketing plans for markets

• Develop plans considering the changing landscape of the market & the role’s recruitment target

• Provision of timely and regular reports to management with up to date statistics and analysis of student applications and recruitment  

• Provide comprehensive reports on agent/partner visits/meetings and to ensure that market intelligence gained through recruitment activity is fed back to colleagues within the recruitment function to inform future activity.

• Ensure international recruitment and business development activities meet the Code of Practice for Pastoral Care of International Students

• Organisation and provision of a comprehensive and streamlined information service to both agents and students

• Management and development of relationships with all targeted and potential partners and applicants/students

• Liaison and contact Person for relevant Agents 

• Conduct regular follow up calls with agents

• Onboard new agents in line with agent management compliance processes

• Provide training sessions to agents and counsellor staff

• Assist in other student recruitment areas when required

• Additional administrative and marketing tasks as delegated by management

• Remain flexible to changes in priorities, geographic focus, and responsibilities

Reporting Arrangement:

The Student Recruitment Officer (International Markets) will report directly to the Sales Manager and will have a high level of day-to-day autonomy in discharging his/her responsibilities. 

Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of a Primary Honours Degree 

• Well travelled & is a confident solo traveller

• Experience in relationship management is essential

• Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate information to the public in an effective and professional manner

• Dynamic and results orientated with a proven track record of working to targets

• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication with report writing skills

• Ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure and to prioritise and to meet deadlines

• Ability to work as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives

• Flexible approach to work as there may be some evenings and weekend work required as well as international travel

About you

Job Summary

The Manager, HR Business Partner is a manager level individual contributor role with no direct reports. The position can be based nationally, but central Ohio is preferred. This role provides strategic HR Business Partner support to the following teams within the Pharmaceutical and Specialty Solutions Segment:

• Supply Chain functional teams, including Operational Excellence, Transportation, Operations Technology & Automation, and Inventory Management (includes global teams)

• Partner with clients to provide HR support, expertise, insight and solutions to advance the client group’s business strategies and objectives

• Proactively identify workforce trends and provide relevant business insights, using data, tools, analytics and resources to drive decision making and action
• Assist with recruiting activities, including interviewing and hiring for client group, as needed
• Apply experience and use judgement to be a trusted advisor to employees and people leaders, providing candid, unbiased coaching and counsel to improve individual and team performance and enhance people leader effectiveness
• Lead business initiatives, complex projects of large scope for client group (e.g. mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, full or partial site closures, reductions in force, significant separations)
• Consult on advanced employee relations matters escalated from the HR-Service Center or Advice and Counsel Center
• Partner with Compensation COE to support diverse total rewards initiatives including end of year compensation cycle, wage adjustments, and educating employees and leaders on Cardinal Health’s pay practices and philosophy
• Understand the competitive factors in the local markets supported and engages with COE partners (TA, Compensation, Talent Management, etc.) to ensuring offerings are competitive and consistent across client groups and broader organization where applicable
• Participate in organizational health engagements and provide support, coaching and oversight on follow up actions
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience preferred
• Eight (8) or more years of experience in a related field preferred  
• PHR, SPHR or GPHR certification preferred
• Experience in organizational design and driving business results
• Data driven mindset and the ability to apply this into business solutions
• Ability to travel minimally--approximately 10%.

The HR Operations department strives to create and deliver a seamless and positive employee support experience across the entire employee lifecycle, from on-boarding right through to the exit process. The team also provides advice and guidance on absence management, performance appraisals, employee relations and maintaining employee well-being. We develop efficient and simple people processes and support the integration of our ‘people platform’ Workday. We deliver data that is useful and accurate to create people related strategies across the business. We collaborate closely with other departments within the Human Resources function including HR Business Partners, Reward, Talent Acquisition and Talent & Development teams.

The HR function is responsible for supporting the Company to help shape the culture of the business, ensure the right people are in the right jobs and work with department heads and managers to ensure employees are productive and engaged.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Support the Global HR Operations team to simplify and streamline HR processes globally and contribute to improving service delivery.

• Assist with on boarding of employees: issuing offer letters/contracts of employment, ensure background checks/medical checks are complete and obtain all required documentation. Coordinating the first day and conduct the HR inductions.

• Production of correspondence for any changes to employee terms and conditions, including contracts of employment, changes to job title, reporting line and notice periods, transfers, flexible working letters, reference letters and confirming the completion of probationary periods.

• Managing the HR Operations mailbox. Fielding staff queries and providing advice on various HR policies, guidelines, systems and reporting.

• Responsibility for maternity, paternity, parental leave and sickness administration processes and ensure that associated payroll processes are completed.

• Monthly collation of data changes for the Global Payroll team

• Maintain and update electronic personnel record system (DIS) containing all employment-related information, HR tracker and various spreadsheets; enter data and maintain these accordingly

• Updating the intranet pages including HR updates, policies and procedures, baby news and long service announcements.

• Assist both the Global HR Operations Manager, the wider HR team and other functions with various ad hoc administrative tasks and data reconciliation when required.

• Work to understand the data held in Workday and how this data is used to deliver insights that inform business decisions on headcount, budgeting, and planning. To support other integrated applications, to understand how our HR data flows across multiple systems.

• Actively support the team in preparation for new Workday releases through engaging in testing new configuration and troubleshooting the issues that arise.

• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders on a variety on global and local initiatives, including HR Business Partners, Payroll, Reward, Talent Acquisition and Talent & Development teams.
