Duties include, but are not limited to:
Administrative
- May assist coordinating programming within the various mental health programs with psychology Program Managers as well as with discipline supervisors of affected staff assigned to these programs
- May serve as the representative for Psychology Service on various Psychology Service, Mental Health Service Line, System, or VISN administrative committees or work groups
- Additional duties as assigned
Clinical - Providing a range of psychological therapeutic interventions, including group and individual formats, with individuals with mental health and medical disorders utilizing empirically supported modalities when indicated. Services may be delivered in a face-to-face and/or telehealth format
- Consulting with and serving as a resource for other professional personnel concerning the need for, evaluation of, and development of psychological services in VATVCBHCS
- Dealing effectively with individuals or groups representing widely divergent backgrounds, interests, and points of view
- May be asked to assist in the selection, training, and supervision of staff at lower grade within assigned program area, Psychology Service, or VATVCBHCS
Academic/Teaching/Research - May be asked to serve as a clinical supervisor for psychology pre-doctoral interns, and doctoral level graduate practicum students in psychology and other related disciplines
- May be asked to prepare and teach seminars/workshops for VATVCBHCS trainees/staff on topics within interest/competency areas
Work Schedule: Fulltime, Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)

Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Some work may require movement between offices, hospitals, warehouses, and similar areas for meetings and to conduct work. Work may also require walking/standing, in conjunctions with travel to and attendance at meetings and/or conferences away from the work site. Incumbent may carry and lift light items weighing less than 15 pounds.
