We are seeking a dedicated Lead Pensions Administrator to manage the Civil Aviation Authority Pension Scheme (CAAPS) for CAA & NATS. This role is crucial in providing top-notch pension administration services, ensuring accuracy, and supporting our members with their pension need.
In this role you will be responsible for the following;
- Calculate retirement quotations and settlements, refunds of contributions deferred pensions, death benefits, transfers in and out, compensation benefits, reinstatements and pension sharing on divorce.
- Calculate and advise on AVC projections
- Liaise with external AVC providers re new contributors or dis-investment of AVC funds
- Update Altair computer database to ensure that an accurate database is maintained and check/test new system updates
- Check other administrators’ calculation results if necessary
- Liaise with HR & payroll departments to obtain and provide information
- Communicate orally & in writing to advise members of their benefits and answer member queries. Further communications with external bodies e.g. HMRC, DWP, scheme actuaries
- Provide support on projects such as GMP equalisation, as required
You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience;
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience in all aspects of administering pensions final salary schemes
- Basic knowledge & experience of UK pension legislation and how the CAAPS complies with this.
- The job holder must have methodical working practices, work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills
