As a Human Resources Specialist (Employment Benefits), you will:

• Act as the the subject matter expert in several programs such as benefit programs (FEHB, FEGLI, TSP, Military/Civilian Deposits etc.) and other benefits and/or work-life balance programs. Incumbent understands and administers programs in accordance with process, practices, policies, and statutory requirements.
• Analyz benefit, retirement, and work-life balance program issues, to include military and civilian deposits, death cases, disability retirement cases, employee workplace injury cases, and/or a variety of tour of duty, leave administration and benefits programs to support NNSA across the nuclear weapons complex. Anticipate and prevent skills imbalances, and assess and redress skills gaps, with minimal employee and organizational disruptions.
• Initiate and maintain regular and recurring contacts with a variety of civilian supervisors and senior management officials in NNSA headquarters and administrative staffs, or comparable personnel in other Federal agencies. • Develop and respond in writing to a variety of correspondence to include inquiries internal and external to NNSA. This Human Resources Specialist position is in the Policy Development Branch, Human Capital Policy and Career Programs, Human Capital (HC), Enterprise Support (ES), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:

• Develops unique Human Resource (HR) policies and procedures. The scope of these policy responsibilities will be covering staffing and recruitment, compensation, and leave/or leave administration.

This Supervisory Human Resources Specialist position is located Nashville International Airport (BNA), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:

• Functions as the airport subject matter expert (SME) on human capital core functions to ensure compliance with the Office of Human Capital (OHC) directives, policies, guidance, procedures and requirements.
• Provides advice and guidance to junior specialists, professionals, managers, employees and external representatives to resolve problems not always susceptible to treatment by standards.

This Human Resource Specialist position is located at Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport (LIT), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:

• Coordinating and overseeing the daily HR activities and programs within the airport and associated spoke airports.
