The major functions of the Lead RPSGT/RT include but are not limited to:

Expertise in utilizing numerous advanced patient systems in support of multiple clinics involved in an interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery model. Functions or Scope of Assigned Duties: This position functions above the full performance level for the Health Technician (Telehealth Clinical) position and serves in an advanced role. The incumbent performs a full range of duties and is responsible for day-to-day operation of telehealth services at the assigned location and between the assigned location and remote sites of care as well as participating in the programmatic development and advanced support of the facility-wide telehealth program. The incumbent is expected to be able to exercise independent judgement and will often provide guidance to less experienced staff members and will require minimal direct supervision. This advanced position functions above the full performance level and therefore requires the performance of higher-level duties which must consist of significant scope, complexity (difficulty) and range of variety and be performed by the incumbent at least 25% of the time.

The higher-level duties associated with this advanced-level position may include, but are not limited to:

The specialty clinics supported by this position will be primarily GI/Rheumatology or Pulmonary/Dermatology. This announcement is for two positions for two different specialty clinics.

The primary responsibility of the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist- CPS in specialty clinics is the provision of evidence-based pharmaceutical care services through both direct and indirect interaction with patients and providers.

Duties Include:

• The CPS functions as part of the specialty outpatient clinics as directed by the supervisor and is most effective when embedded within a team assigned to patients to support continuity of care. The CPS in specialty clinics may also consult or provide direct care on patients with specialty pharmacotherapy issues un the acute care or primary care settings, if needed.
• Serves as a physician extender/independent practitioner in a clinic setting, requiring the highest level of pharmacist clinical privileges with minimal supervision. Principal responsibilities include pharmacotherapy management, provision of drug information services, and the development and supervision of pharmacy programs in specialty clinics which can include but are not limited to allergy, cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, hematology/oncology, infectious disease, nephology, neurology, rheumatology, sleep, or other specialty as directed by the supervisor.
• Actively participates as a member of the specialty team to assist in monitoring patient's therapy as directly related to pharmaceutical care.
• Participates in developing criteria for use, medication use evaluations, data collection for pertinent reports, and other quality assurance activities, as required, to ensure appropriate and safe drug utilization.
• Appropriately documents the care of patient via the electronic medical chart, including completing consults in a timely manner, using appropriate billing codes, electronically signing all patient notes/orders within an appropriate amount of time, and following up on all ordered labs.

Major duties and responsibilities include:

Administrative Management

• Assists the Chief oversee and facilitate the administrative management for Recreation and
  Creative Art Therapy Service.
• Assists with developing, planning, issuing and implementing procedures to comply with directives concerning administrative matters.
• Analyzes and evaluates problems, makes recommendations, and devises solutions to systems administration, training management, publication management and data management within the division.

• Manages budget formulation and execution for a changing budget of administrative expenses involving different funding sources.
• Attends budget calls, reviewing guidelines and instructions in order to brief managers of schedules and data requirements. Reviews office needs in order to plan and develop budget data and justification for review and approval.
• Once the budget has been approved, directs and monitors the execution of funds.

The primary purpose of this position is: As an Air Reserve Technician (ART) accomplishes a variety of work which determines the unit's readiness and capability to meet its wartime mission and provide training to assigned unit personnel in the accomplishment of contingency and humanitarian missions and worldwide deployment activities.Duties:

-Assists in the preparation of announced and unannounced site inspection by credentialing and accreditation organizations, such as Joint Commission (JC), Office of the Inspector General (OIG), College of American Pathologies (CAP), Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT), VA SOARS visits and VISN IRIS surveys.
-Acts as a primary point of contact with critical persons at the national and VISN levels, independently handling major program issues related to the Assistant Directors office.
-Responsible for education of staff at all levels on different programs concepts, initiatives, and directives in relation to the Assistant Directors services and other VACO initiatives as assigned.
