We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic nurse to join our Teenage Cancer Trust Unit, caring for young people aged 13-20 years.

Are you an experienced band 5 nurse (paediatric or adult) with at least two years haematology/oncology experience, looking to take the next step and become a band 6? Have you competed chemotherapy workbooks one and two? We are offering a band 6 training post that will support you in this journey. This role offers 6 months on the ward as a band 5 nurse, gaining confidence and signing off competencies. If you meet the set objectives within 6 months, you will be offered the band 6 post with no need to interview again.

You will have the opportunity to share and develop knowledge and skills in caring for a range of solid tumours and haematology cancers. You will care for patients undergoing a range of treatments including bone marrow transplant, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

You will be required to demonstrate experience and skills in this area and have leadership, development and organisation skills in order to coordinate safe efficient delivery of care to this patient group.

You will work to the highest standards to facilitate evidence informed patient care, playing a key role in implementing, facilitating and developing Hand therapy best practice in line with local and national guidelines. This post is in our Acute Inpatient Care Pathway, looking after working age adults. This post is for the Centralised Place of Safety (CPOS), located at the Maudsley Hospital. This purpose built unit is designed to admit patients admitted on either section 136 or section 135 and the post holder will work within an established MDT to assess and manage the acute physical and mental health needs of these patients. This service was the first 24/7 staffed Place of Safety to implement London’s section 136 pathway and Health Based Place of Safety specification has received positive feedback from users of mental health crisis services.

The unit is staffed with a full nursing team, unit manager and Consultant Psychiatrist. The post provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience of innovative multiagency working and new services. There are also opportunities to contribute to clinical governance in the unit, and formal and informal teaching and development of the team.

5. The doctor will support the wider staff team at the CPOS. There will be opportunities to contribute to clinical governance, and formal and informal teaching.

6. The doctor would be expected to be available to work 10 clinical sessions on the unit. The doctor will be able to take regular time for professional development as agreed with the team Consultant Psychiatrist.

7. There will be job planning review within 3 months of appointment involving the team Consultant Psychiatrist and the team leader of the unit.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team as Trainee Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners. Three posts are available, across our Secondary Care Psychological Therapies Service and our Lambeth Living Well Centres. This is an exciting brand-new role created by NHS England and Improvement to support the transformation of adult community mental health services. Your training will be fully funded by the NHS. In return, we ask that you commit to staying with us for at least two years after you qualify if you apply to continue to work with us as a qualified clinician.

This role will contribute to ensuring adults with severe mental health problems have greater access to psychologically informed interventions.

Please note: The trainee mental health wellbeing practitioner posts are training positions. Successful candidates will be expected to study at university (we expect University College London) and may need to travel to campus, and will need to travel between Southwark station area, Brixton and Streatham and the team catchment areas across the borough of Lambeth for their clinical work.

Momentum Instore have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Beauty Merchandiser on a flexible basis, working 8-hour days Monday to Friday as and when we have projects (2025).

We have a busy 6 weeks from the start of January 2025 (schedules of work to be given in December) and are looking for key people in your location. Paid training days will take place in December and paid before Christmas.

Role and Responsibilities


Visiting retailers and updating the stand
Moving parts around and resequencing stock according to a new planogram
