FUNCTIONS/SCOPE OF DUTIES:

A. Medication Management:

1. Reads and interprets prescriptions, obtains proper medication or material in the proper strength and dosage form; determines proper amount and counts, pours, or measures the medications; affixes proper label and auxiliary labels; and records required data on electronically or via the Pharmacy's copy of prescription/order.
2. Replenishes inventory for emergency carts, kits, and trays. Collects drug use evaluation data for quality improvements purposes.
3. Compounds and/or reconstitutes oral or external medications (non-sterile) without a second review.
4. After prescription/order(s) are reviewed by a pharmacist for therapeutic propriety, reviews orders for technical accuracy and ensures that the item dispensed corresponds to the drug and dose ordered.
5. Answers questions and calls from pharmacy and non-pharmacy personnel regarding drug distribution.
6. Monitors refrigerator temperature daily in assigned areas.
7. Perform monthly inspections to assigned areas to ensure proper storage of medications and soon to expired drugs are removed.
8. Maintains, verifies, stocks and replaces outdates in patient care area automated dispensing machines throughout the facility (i.e., floors and clinics).
9. Properly handles medications by ensuring high alert, hazardous, refrigerated and controlled substance medications are handled/stored appropriately and legally.
10. Prepares medications that requires special handling and documentation.
11. Assures that each individual prescription order is filled correctly with right drug/supply item, strength, dosage form, quantity and with all necessary auxiliary labels attached.

B. Outpatient Pharmacy Activities (when assigned):

1. Processes and fills outpatient prescriptions in compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
2. Utilizes the automated dispensing machine (i.e. Scriptpro) for packaging and dispensing medications.
3. Assembles prescriptions properly with the correct drug, strength, quantity, auxiliary labels, and prescription labels.
4. Assures that the correct medication is filled by using bar code scanning on stock bottles.
5. Appropriately assigns and prints label for completed prescriptions notating if it's window, mail, UPS, refrigerated or non-refrigerated item.
6. Supports automation by manually completing prescriptions not processed through the automation dispensing machine.
7. Assures the timely completion of all prescriptions.
8. Verifies the patient's identification following the Medical Center's policies. Ensures two patient identifiers are utilized when dispensing medications.
9. Verifies that the patient receives the correct prescriptions by using VA software (i.e., VISTA and barcode scanning)
10. Verifies that the patient has received all prescriptions (i.e., refrigerated, controlled substances, bulk medications, etc.)
11. Ensure the patient signature is obtained at pick-up electronically. Only uses manual signature during contingency.

C. Inpatient Pharmacy Activities (when assigned)

1. Performs review of medications prepared by another pharmacy employee to be dispensed to hospital areas.
2. Inventories and replenishes emergency trays/carts/kits.
3. Operates and maintains automated dispensing unit dose systems such as Pyxis and Parata.
4. Inspects packaged items for accuracy and suitability before submitting for final check, prior to distribution to hospital areas. Ensures correct number of tablets are present in each locally unit dosed package prior to dispensing to floors and/or automated devices.
5. Utilizes the Parata Perl inspection system after medications repackaged.
6. Assures repackaged dosage forms are labeled according to USP and VA standards and attains a final review by a pharmacist.
7. Maintains repackaging records that assures all regulatory and review standards are met.
8. Trouble-shoots minor mechanical problems of all automated systems as they occur and coordinates resolution of more involved mechanical or software problems with Supervisor, vendor help desk, ADPAC, etc. as appropriate.
9. Fills medication orders to fulfill pre-exchange doses, missing dose reports, Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs), loads, restocks and IV orders with accuracy.
10. Correctly inventories, assesses, and determines the need for floor stock and external medication.
11. Delivers pre-exchange doses, missing dose reports, Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs), loads, restocks and IV orders with accuracy.

The primary purpose of this position is to perform numerous tasks which are dissimilar in kind, but which have in common the purpose of assisting the work of one or more persons in an organization. The incumbent is responsible for aiding with a variety of problems and inquiries which are received in person, telephonically, or by referral from other secretaries, receptionists or support staff in the Executive Suite. He/she drafts correspondence, such as routine official correspondence, social and personal acknowledgments, congratulatory letters, and routine office reports. He/she is responsible for performing typing on a computer keyboard wherein the work requires competitive level proficiency in typing as well as knowledge of office software systems. Data Collection and Tracking Support

• As Lead Timekeeper, correctly posts and tracks time and attendance for service employees and contractors following all training and guidance provided by Payroll Department and Supervisor.

• Provides reports to supervisor as required regarding leave usage and completeness of subsidiary records.
• Maintains information needed for budget purposes.

Mail, Correspondence and Reports

• Receives and controls incoming correspondence.
• Processes incoming and outgoing materials such as correspondence, reports, and mail routing, memorandum, and other forms of written communication.
• Prepares manuscripts, grant proposals, statistical reports, tables, and charts using knowledge of scientific medical and/or other technical terms.
• Evaluates data collection forms and coordinates incoming data from a variety of sources.
• Researches, prepares, and reviews documents, reports, and/or applications for omissions and inconsistencies, and ensures data entry is complete and accurate.

Maintaining Appointments, Calendars and Schedules

• Schedules appointments, coordinates meetings, schedules conferences and reserves rooms for meetings.
• Researches and provides background on subject matter of meetings without direction.
• Attendings meetings, prepares meeting minutes, and follows up on action items with the appropriate staff independently.
• Incumbent will work closely with the Chiefs' BMS in the scheduling and planning of the Chiefs' calendars to schedule committee responsibilities, public engagements and occasionally assists patients with issues as a Service Line Advocates (SLA).
• Coordinates and prepares all the Chiefs' travel arrangements and accommodations. Schedules service meetings takes minutes and tracks action items.

Momentum Instore have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Beauty Merchandiser on a flexible basis, working 8-hour days Monday to Friday as and when we have projects (2025).

We have a busy 6 weeks from the start of January 2025 (schedules of work to be given in December) and are looking for key people in your location. Paid training days will take place in December and paid before Christmas.

About the opportunity:

We have a fantastic new opportunity for a temperature controlled Driver (van provided) to join our existing team based in our Birmingham Distribution Centre.

Reporting into the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for checking, loading and delivering orders to a range of customers on a predetermined route.

Work closely with the members of the neurodevelopmental pathway team in developing, implementing, and monitoring services provided to children, young people and their families. Be a key member of the ADHD multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively with Consultant Paediatricians and other health professionals. Work autonomously across Birmingham, taking the lead in preliminary assessments of new referrals using the agreed assessment tools and analysis of the resulting information. Undertake and record observations within schools, clinics, and home settings. To act as an Advanced Nurse Prescriber for ADHD related medicines, in line with NMC, NICE and national guidelines around safe prescribing. Implement a family centred care approach, which captures the voice of the child and promotes involvement in the decision-making process. Work closely with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive inclusive and expert assessment of children referred with symptoms and comorbidities based upon appropriate use, interpretation, and integrations of complex data from a variety of sources, including psychological assessments, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations as well as interviews with the young people and their families. Be the first point of contact for queries, giving advice and signposting to outside agencies in supporting children, young people, their families/carers, schools, and other professionals, on a rota basis. Work with and liaise with parents and carers to resolve any complaints or concerns at local level before escalating to team leader. Work in line with the NMC Code of Conduct, NMC Standards and Proficiencies and Trust guidelines. Work closely with families, schools, and other agencies, using negotiation skills to encourage implementation of behaviour management programmes and administration of medicine. Liaise with external services such as CAMHS, Social Care and Health and education to provide a holistic approach to care. Work with the ADHD team lead in the design, development, and implementation of a rolling programme of parent education. Delivered both in groups and individually in a range of settings. The post holder will use a range of training approaches and communication styles to deliver complex information which meets individual needs and to overcome possible barriers to understanding. Undertake risk assessments and risk management for individual children, young people and families in accordance with clinical harms criteria. Use a range of computer programmes to analyse assessment tools and ensure patient administration systems are maintained and used proficiently throughout the team. Effectively manage ongoing care of children diagnosed with ADHD. Using the care pathway framework to continue the collection of activity and outcomes as part of clinical governance. Be aware of child protection policies, taking appropriate action where concerns are identified and the need to access ongoing safeguarding and clinical supervision and support in this area. To coordinate patient transition from team caseload to adult ADHD services, ensuring continuity of care. Utilise highly developed interpersonal skills to develop excellent working relations with all parties Involved, including young people and their families, so that effective communication is achieved. Work within scope of practice and competencies to meet caseload/ service user/community needs. Maintain contemporaneous clinical records in line with NMC guidelines and trust Clinical records Policy and attend mandatory training. Ensure that you and junior staff within the team have access to regular child protection supervision. Management and Leadership Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership, consultation, support, and supervision to other members of the ADHD service and the wider multidisciplinary team. Influence and contribute to the delivery of clinical governance and quality improvement agenda within the service. Represent the team at multiagency or professional meetings as required and to participate in case conferences where appropriate. To participate in regular audit of the service and participate in research projects as appropriate to promote and implement evidence-based practice. To assist in the induction programme for new staff as a mentor, so that new staff are aware of the role. Contribute to review and implementation of Trust policies and procedures in relation to the ADHD service. Escalate operational or staffing concerns to Team Leader, Operational Manager or Head of Service. Educational and Development Accountability to maintain professional development and maintain professional registration alongside requirements for NMC revalidation. Access regular clinical supervision from a medical mentor. Access continuing professional development opportunities relating to non-medical prescribing role. Provide a high level of skills and competencies and work towards development of areas of clinical expertise within the field of ADHD, complimenting other members of the team. Identify own learning needs and be responsible for own continuing professional development. Maintain and update professional knowledge and skills in areas of practice. Undertake mandatory training in line with Trust Policy and attend updates and study days as appropriate to the post.
