ABOUT THE POSITION
The Deputy Assistant Secretary for Minority Health provides executive leadership, guidance, and oversight on a range of processes and functions across DHHS that relate to minority health. These processes and functions include review, analysis, and evaluation of policies, programs, and activities addressing minority health. Provides executive leadership, management, and direction of procedures, programs, activities, and resources across DHHS relating to minority health.

Serves as the principal advisor to the Secretary and ASH and serves as a spokesperson on minority health issues. Advises on activities, programs, and policies across DHHS. The MSA is able to independently manage position responsibilities with minimal supervision, as well as set priorities and deadlines, adjusting the flow and sequencing of the work to meet team and patient needs. What does the role involve?

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will prepare, restore and maintain areas and equipment for clinical treatments and investigations, as well as generally ensuring that the treatment environment is safe for patients, relatives and visitors.

This is an active role which involves extensive walking between patients throughout the clinic and some lifting responsibilities. However, we will provide regular training and guidance, so that you can develop your knowledge of company practice, procedures and quality management. Computer skills are essential, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with the team.

Bridgend Dialysis Unit is a brand-new clinic opening very soon. It will operate 21 haemodialysis stations, serving between 60 and 80 patients. Nursing is planned at a ratio of 1:3 patients.

This is a Full-time role 37.5 hours a week. You’ll be working various shifts Monday to Saturday between 6.30am to 6.00pm.
