GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This job, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist performs a wide variety of technical and clinical duties for the hospital wide unit-dose drug distribution system and intravenous admixture program. • Continuously maintains pharmacy inventory and supplies according to established policies and procedures through assigned inspections, use of automated dispensing units and medication supplies depending on facility. Assists in ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals and supplies in appropriate locations, restocks medications and IV dispensing area, prepackages bulk medications in unit dose packages.
• Compounds, stocks, repackages and batches from bulk medications. Prepares routine patient orders for IV pharmaceuticals including compounding, preparation, and labeling of any IV admixture including antibiotics, solutions, irrigations, narcotics, parenteral nutrition, and chemotherapy.
• Maintains competence required for current position and has ability to perform all technician duties to assist in training of new employees and students.
• Contributes to the effective operation of the department through all activities including computer functions, process cart fill lists, pick lists, refill medications, generation of labels, and answers phones appropriately. Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Participates in continuous performance improvement and regulatory compliance efforts. Takes responsibility for quality improvement efforts and then monitors processes and results.
• Maintains an attitude that promotes and fosters an environment of safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

• Enrolled in a School of Pharmacy OR
• Foreign pharmacy graduate and has applied for an intern license within the state of PA.
• Has applied for Pharmacy Intern License in the state of PA.

Job Summary

Interns will work closely with finance leadership and staff for direction on projects, tasks and responsibilities.  Work will involve hands on work on business plans, financial analysis, budgets, projections, and various other areas.  Interns will be involved in trending and analysis of reimbursement, costs related to supplies, pharmaceuticals and other areas of financial optimization. SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position will work closely with the data scientists, analysts, and evaluators that are a part of the health equity evaluation, assessment, and analytics team to define the data management and analysis requirements of assigned programs. They will use SAS and/or R to compile data from diverse data resources, including the Corewell Health Enterprise Data Warehouse, associated DataMarts, and from direct data entry. They will extract data using query functionality and prepare the resulting data for analysis using appropriate data transformations.
 
This position will frequently perform data analyses using SAS and/or R and use these systems to generate reports from databases and specialized queries. They will continually assess data to determine its accuracy and precision and develop procedures for error detection and correction. They will help develop programs that facilitate the tracking of data longitudinally and assist in creating data dictionaries as appropriate to best practices standards. They will occasionally handle the manipulation of data output to develop unique reports to meet special requests.
 
This position will be expected to communicate, collaborate, and act as a team player in order to ensure continuity and coordination in evaluation services. They will assist in fostering open and direct communication and facilitating group processes with others in the department.
 
This position will be required to perform the above functions and other activities which contribute to the efficiency of the department, including ensuring that processes and services are continuously monitored for quality, cost effectiveness, and efficiency. They will engage in process and quality improvement activities, making and implementing recommendations to improve operational efficiency and to implement new services for areas of responsibility.

Job Summary

A media relations intern will work on the East media push, covering news for Southeast Michigan with the goal of elevating Corewell Health’s reputation locally, regionally and nationally. Through coaching from an APR-credentialed professional, the intern will be able to build their portfolio with both written assets and hands-on experience such as press conferences, events and other activities. They will learn the start-to-finish approach to successfully promoting a media story including story mining; interviewing SMEs; writing release/pitch/media advisory; researching and targeting reporters, outlets and producers; and many other day-to-day facets of a great media relations effort. The intern would have the opportunity to pitch national media as appropriate as well as news across the State.

Position Summary:
