We are looking for a Locum Practice Nurse to cover an assignment with the Ministry of Defence (MoD), at RAF Coningsby Medical Centre, in Lincoln, Lincolnshire.

This is a locum role (37.5 hours per week) and the successful candidate will deliver an exceptional standard of care to the MoD service personnel.

Job Description – Service Requirements
• To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, under the Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) organisation, delivering Primary Health Care (PHC) services and elements of Occupational Health and Health Promotion to the Defence Medical Services (DMS) entitled Population at Risk (PAR).
• To be responsible to the Senior Medical Officer / Lead Clinician / Senior Nurse and provide routine clinics as directed to meet the needs of the organisation and the PAR.
• To be involved in the development and implementation of local programmes of care/ service delivery within their scope of practice; conducting electronic searches and performing audit to promote quality improvement.
• To assist in the supervision of untrained staff within the practice, under the guidance of the Senior Nurse / Lead Clinician and within individual scope of practice.
• To undertake and remain in date for all mandatory training as set out in the most current DPHC Guidance Note entitled Mandatory Training for Locums, Agency Staff and single Service personnel working within DPHC.
• To maintain patient safety and support healthcare governance activity.
• To undertake training and demonstrate competence to issue medications via Patient Group Directives (PGDs) and Patient Specific Directions (PSDs), in accordance with Joint Service Policy and as determined appropriate by the Senior Nurse / Lead Clinician.


Essential Requirements / Qualifications / Experience
• Must be Registered Nurse (Adult) Level 1 with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and hold a valid, in date Personal Identification Number (PIN) and not be subject to any restrictions of practice.
• Must hold current, valid personal medical indemnity insurance.
• Must have a minimum of one year’s post registration experience working as a Band 5 or higher grade in a Primary Healthcare (PHC) setting (within the last three years).
• Must be in date for Basic Life Support (BLS), Anaphylaxis, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and be able to provide certification.
• Must have completed Immunisation and Vaccination Foundation Training in accordance with national immunisation and vaccination standard training requirements (Public Health England) and either:
- be able to provide certification; or
- be able to provide proof of clinical competency of the same from a previous employer or Line Manager, who is a current and practicing GMC or NMC Registrant, for Immunisation and Vaccinations (dated within the last 12 months).
• Must be in date for Immunisation and Vaccination annual update e-learning training (to include young children if engaged within a family practice) and be able to provide certification.
• Must be in date for venepuncture and able to provide certificates of training/qualification/update, as undertaken within the last three years, and/or be able to provide proof of clinical competency of the same from a previous employer or Line Manager, who is a current and practicing GMC or NMC Registrant, for venepuncture.

Promote and maintain links with Primary Care and Secondary Care Staff to help co-ordinate the provision of an effective Psychological Therapies Service. This is an excellent opportunity for a dentist looking to exercise a high degree of patient care in a setting outside of the typical high street practice. This service provides care to adults and children who are potentially vulnerable, and have additional needs that could not be met in typical high street practice- the role would be well-suited to a dentist who values spending time with their patients and providing care to those most in need. Due to the nature of the role, the scope of clinical treatment is limited to more routine treatments available on the NHS. You will see a mix of both registered patients under the care of the service for all routine dentistry, and referrals (typically from GP) who will attend for a one off, particular course of treatment. Many of these patients at some time or another will require sedation, therefore all clinicians within the service are provided with accredited sedation training, and there will be regular opportunity to utilise these skills.

The service is provided out of two well-equipped dental surgeries situated in a medical centre, and is fully equipped to handle a range of additional needs including a hoist, wheelchair and bariatric bench. In addition to working out of these surgeries, dental officers will also be required to provide domiciliary care to certain patients where appropriate, there would also be travel required occasionally to other parts of the wider county for staff meetings, and training.

About the 1:1 Teaching role:     

Hourly Rate: £30 per hour (PAYE)

Days required: 5 days per week- Monday to Friday (Term time only)

Sugarman's Children Services are looking for experienced Teachers to provide face to face alternative provision to SEN / SEND/ SEMH/ children and young people with challenging behaviours in and around Lincolnshire. 

  

Our Children's Services division specialises in supplying trained and experienced teachers during or after school, including in a student's own home, on school premises or an alternative agreed venue.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use creative strategies to manage challenging behaviour and support emotional well-being. 

• Adapt the curriculum to suit individual needs, ensuring students remain engaged and motivated. Regularly assess students' progress and tailor lessons to meet their evolving needs. 

 

  

To be eligible for this role you must have the following:      

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. 

• Have a strong subject knowledge (English, Maths, Science and Functional Skills)      

• Minimum 2 years' experience working with children / young people in a classroom setting      

• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service 

• Hold right to work in the UK      

• Knowledge and understanding of the Safeguarding Policy      

• Taught in a classroom setting in the UK

The post holder is responsible for the delivery of basic practice nursing service care to the practice population. Supported by Nurse Practitioners within the practice, they will deliver care within the boundaries of their role, focusing upon supporting patients to be healthy, monitoring of long-term conditions, health prevention and screening activities. Your new role
You will report directly to the Head of Group Health, Safety and Environment and your key duties and responsibilities will be primarily to drive H&S standards, strategies and procedures across the business, and a collaborative safety culture. You'll be supporting the project teams with guidance and the processes required to maximise H&S across their sites and provide regular updates of site issues to the EHS Team. You will support site management, assist in resolving any issues as well as attend meetings and audits.

• Ensure company Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to

What you'll need to succeed
You'll have a strong background in driving the highest standards of H&S within a construction environment, and will ideally have experience of working for a main contractor. You must be able to build rapport with site project teams, so you must be a strong communicator, have excellent leadership skills and be successful at driving H&S strategies, policies and procedures across live sites.
A background in the construction industry is essential. Previous knowledge of audits is desirable.
