Scope and General Purpose of Job:

To assist to establish, co-ordinate and administer financial planning for the control and success of ongoing operations. To assist in directing the operation of policies, procedures, plans, and programmes governing all operational and financial matters of the facilities. Main Duties

Customer Service

• To ensure that all Fitness Centre associates deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times.

• To personally and frequently verify that guests/members are receiving the best possible service in Fitness Centre.

Financial

• To maximize associate productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking and flexible scheduling to meet the financial goals of the business as well as the expectations of the guests.
• To assist to ensure that Fitness Centre operates with the lowest possible cost structure while also delivering on the brand promise to the guest, proactively managing costs based on key performance indicators.
• To focus attention on improving productivity levels and the need to prudently manage utility/payroll costs within acceptable guidelines ensuring optimum deployment and energy efficiency of all equipment.
• To ensure that hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to money handling are adhered to, including the timely and accurate reporting of information.
• To assist in the preparation of the Annual Business Plan for Rooms and the responsibilities to encompass the area of fiscal budgeting and analysis, including the development of annual budgets for the various sub-departments within the Fitness Centre.
• To ensure that the use of new technology and equipment is explored and implemented wherever appropriate to improve productivity whilst taking work out of the system.
• To establish the control of financial operations by coordinating and administering an established plan with sufficient supporting schedules to enable measurement of actual performance to budget, costs monitoring and to ensure a proper control to achieve maximum profitability.
• To prepare operations and capital improvement budget.
• To develop the facility’s fiscal operating assumptions, facility’s business, budget and staffing plans.
• To authorise expenditures in keeping with the operating budgets as required and to approve all invoices before payment as required.

Operational

• To ensure that all company minimum brand standards have been implemented, and that optional brand standards have been implemented where appropriate.
• To ensure through effective supervision that all services offered in the Fitness Centre are always available and carried out with the utmost efficiency and courtesy as per the Fitness Centre Departmental Operations Manual.
• To assist the Front Office Manager in every aspect of the operation as requested.
• To assist to direct operations of facility including short and long range strategic planning so that the facility operates cost effectively and efficiently.
• To work with advertising and promotion as required.
• To assist in the supervision/operation of all departments such as Fitness Centre, Reception, Facility Operations, Swimming Pool, etc.
• To ensure effective communication between Fitness Centre, Swimming Pool and all other hotel departments.
• To take active measure to assist in the promotion, associate and guest awareness of the Fitness Centre and Swimming Pool.
• To main a close inspection of the state of the building and all Fixed Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) and Operating Equipment (OE) and to take necessary corrective action to keep the above in excellent condition at all times.
• To work closely with other Department Heads in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
• To respond to the results of the Consumer Audit and Guest Satisfaction surveys as well as any other surveys conducted by the Company ensuring that the relevant changes are implemented. Quality, consistency and attention to details to be focused on at all times.

Health and Safety

• To ensure all associates adhere to all safety procedures and practices.
• To assist in the development and adherence of all departmental Emergency Procedures/Safety Manual.
• To ensure the Fitness Centre and Swimming Pool associates adhere to all safety practices of the hotel.
• To ensure associate have a complete understanding of, and adhere to the hotel’s policy relating to Risk and Safety.
• To ensure the swimming pool Life Guards are attentive to all guests at all times and to ensure the safety of the guests by the pool. To ensure all guests abide by the swimming pool rules and regulations at all times and to stop immediately any guest/s engage in activities which are not permitted.
• To ensure all guests and Fitness Centre members who use the facilities register in the designated sign-in sheets.

Personnel

• To demonstrate and reinforcing Hyatt’s Values.
• To assist in the recruitment and selection of Fitness Centre associates when necessary ensuring that hotel guidelines are adhered to when recruiting and use a competency-based approach to selecting associates.
• To ensure that all associates have a complete understanding of and adhere to e associate rules and regulations.
• To ensure that associates follow all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to fire and hazard safety, and security.
• To feedback the results of the Employee Engagement Survey (EES) to the team and ensure that the relevant changes are implemented and the overall score of the survey is continuously increased every year for the Department. To work together with the associates and the Front Office Manager in developing the Impact Plans and ensuring its’ effective implementation in the department.

Other Duties

• To exercise responsible management and behaviour at all times and positively representing the hotel management team and Hyatt International.
• To maintain strong, professional relationships with the relevant representatives from competitor hotels and other organisations.
• To ensure high standards of personal presentation and grooming at all times and to assist associates to implement Hygiene practices for all areas.
• To be flexible in your job function and perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities which may be assigned to you, including redeployment to other department/areas if required, in order to meet business demands and guest service needs.

Our Nuffield Health The Manor Hospital are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Pharmacy Manager to join the team.

Duties will include ensuring adherence to medicines optimisation policies and procedures, providing oversight of pharmaceutical stock procurement, as well as other associated pharmaceutical duties and have a key role in delivering high quality clinical care and advice to our patients and teams across a range of departments including ICU/HDU, the Pre-assessment clinic, Outpatient Department, Ward, Theatres and Oncology Team.

The opportunity

As a Pharmacy Manager it is important that you will be confident to work independently as well as a member of our larger health professional community, leading a team to always strive to improve the quality of our services for our patients. ​

As a Pharmacy Manager, you will:

• Provide leadership and advice on medicines management to ensure that processes across all clinical departments throughout the hospital are safe, cost effective and legal and are supported by up to date policies, procedures and guidelines. This will include chairing the Medicines Management Forum on a quarterly basis.

• Be responsible for leading, motivating and effectively managing the pharmacy team by providing excellent leadership.

• As the Antimicrobial Stewardship Lead, optimise the management of antimicrobials to minimise the occurrence of hospital acquired infections by ensuring pharmacy adherence to up to date policies, guidelines and systems of work. Undertake regular audit of this in conjunction with the IP nurse/nurse team.

• Ensuring the pharmacy team undertake daily ward rounds reconciling medication for new inpatients; counselling patients; managing PODs and checking for relevant allergies, adverse drug reactions and contra-indications to treatment, ensuring all medicines prescribed are clinically appropriate in line with national and/or local policies and guidelines etc.

• Assist and leading the team in facilitating timely and informed discharge of patients returning to primary care by dispensing, accuracy checking and clinically checking TTOs, counselling patients prior to discharge and in facilitating timely and informed discharge of patients returning to primary care.

• Lead on the implementation of medication safety alerts and drug recalls for the hospital working closely with the Director of Clinical Services.

• Implement and monitor DoH guidance on all aspects of controlled drugs use in the hospital and ensure the CD audit is completed quarterly.

• Ensure errors, complaints and incidents are managed in line with the Nuffield Health guidelines, specifically reporting these using the RADAR system and reviewing/investigating relevant RADAR reports relating to medicines.
