As a senior nurse you will provide high quality primary care services and a range of specialist interventions for offenders. At HMP Channings Wood, we deliver a nurse-led integrated primary care service and operate a specialist practice-based clinical model of care.

You will maintain an effective case management service to ensure care and continuity of treatment is maintained throughout a patient care pathway whilst detained in prison. You will be required to ensure all clinics and consultations are delivered in a clinically effective and timely way and implement strategies designed to promote and improve health and prevent disease whilst in prison.

As a senior member of staff, you will be responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination of the Healthcare Team, supporting junior colleagues and ensure systems are in place for clinical supervision to junior team members.

Oxleas offers a wide range of NHS healthcare services to people in community and secure environment settings. We are the largest NHS provider of prison health services providing healthcare to prisons within Devon, Dorset, Bristol, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire, Kent and South London.

Our healthcare departments operate across three prisons in the Devon cluster each of which require a bespoke service responding to the prisoner and prison needs:
• HMP Channings Wood – Cat C – Population = 731
• HMP Dartmoor – Cat C – Population = 659
• HMP Exeter – Cat B (Remand) – Population = 412



Oxleas are the lead provider across 10 South West prisons and operate in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Dorset in addition to the above.

Job Description:

At Regions, the Regions Affordable Housing (RAH) Operations Group Manager is responsible for managing operations, directing strategy in partnership with the President of RAH, acting as the primary liaison for internal risk management third line partners, and managing internal processes and procedures. Primary Responsibilities

• Acts as the primary liaison for RAH's interaction with Credit Risk Review, Internal Audit, and Operational Risk; reports, monitors and coordinates with the President of RAH and other senior managers
• Coordinates risk management activities related to underwriting and operations to respond to internal and external risk management questions and required policy changes
• Monitors adherence to risk management deliverables including the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), policies, and procedures; ensures proper reporting; acts as first line liaison for second and third-line partners during transaction approval and underwriting
• Represents RAH to internal and external partners including institutional investors, developer clients, and bank partners in the risk, finance and administrative functions

• Directly oversees the activities of the RAH Underwriting Group
• Oversees and directs quality control during the underwriting and approval process

• Manages an active pipeline of transactions in the closing process, forecasts, and communicates closing capacity and timelines with respect to financial analytics and underwriting capacity.
• Partners with Originations and Distribution from initial transaction screening and selection through transaction approval

• Oversees internal legal counsel on matters involving external counsel relationships and consulting internally on legal matters related to both developers and investors
• With internal legal counsel, manages external legal relationships, including quality control, timeliness, adherence to Regions’ standards, required template changes, specific risk issues, and other matters related to external counsel
• Manages and supports the intern and analyst programs administered by the Sales and Strategy team for RAH
• Supports, either directly or through delegation, external recruiting efforts on campus
• Ensures alignment with broader Real Estate Banking performance initiatives and standards
• Manages staff training and supports staff development, including goals and budgeting
• Responsible for long range business planning, strategy and implementation of strategic operational decisions

About This Job

The main purpose of this job is to be responsible for legal and regulatory advice and guidance on trust administration including private client trust administration and institutional trust administration.  Position will provide support to advisors and trust professionals on estate planning, tax and wealth management issues.  Trust Counsel is expected to support the responsible growth objectives of the organization by identifying legal risks as well as practical risk-mitigating solutions.

Essential Functions

• Collaborate with client teams to create innovative solutions that mitigate risk; assess and advise of risks associated with the administration of private trusts, institutional trusts, and estates

• Review estate plan documents in which Commerce Trust is appointed as a trustee or executor, evaluate the ability of Commerce to administer the trust or estate, and provide a recommendation on acceptance or declination of appointment

• Draft and review standard business forms such as sales/listing agreements, trust acceptance/resignation/declination

• Provide counsel on all matters relating to fiduciary duties and discretion including but not limited to distributions, loans and pledges, trust terminations, employee benefit and endowment plans and specialty asset administration

• Attend various internal committees, assist with preparation of materials as needed, become familiar with legal risks and formulate recommendations for consideration

• Work in partnership with the internal tax group to identify and monitor tax matters pertaining to income tax (including capital gains), estate tax, and gift tax, and charitable trusts (including private foundations) related to the administration of trust and/or estate accounts and review tax filings including but not limited to Forms 706, 709, 990, 1040, and 1041 to understand assets comprising a decedent’s estate and the fundings of trusts resulting from a decedent’s estate

• Interpret and help Commerce Trust teams to apply fiduciary policies, procedures and related governance protocols

IMPORTANT INFORMATION, PLEASE READ:

As a senior nurse you will provide high quality primary care services and a range of specialist interventions for offenders. At HMP Channings Wood, we deliver a nurse-led integrated primary care service and operate a specialist practice-based clinical model of care.

You will maintain an effective case management service to ensure care and continuity of treatment is maintained throughout a patient care pathway whilst detained in prison. You will be required to ensure all clinics and consultations are delivered in a clinically effective and timely way and implement strategies designed to promote and improve health and prevent disease whilst in prison.

As a senior member of staff, you will be responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination of the Healthcare Team, supporting junior colleagues and ensure systems are in place for clinical supervision to junior team members.

Working Hours: 7 shifts per fortnight. 12.15pm-11pm with a 45 minute break. Every other weekend. Hours will equate to full-time (37.5 per week).

• To demonstrate and provide robust expert clinical skills with a sound understanding of evidence-based nursing practice to provide a pro-active approach to ensure quality and outcome driven practice on a day-to-day basis.
• To support the development of evidence-based practice in the specialist field and to promote research as appropriate.
• To participate in managerial and professional clinical supervision programme, to ensure junior staff receive appropriate supervision, training and annual appraisal and to ensure that it becomes an integral part of team practice.
• To ensure the implementation of effective and appropriate patient centred care planning tools, long-term condition registers and consistent delivery throughout all the prisons within the service.
• The post holder will work collaboratively with the Clinical Lead, GPs, and other clinicians to meet and review service needs as required
• To deputise for the Team manager as required
