**About the role:**

We are looking for a proactive and adaptable individual who thrives in a client facing environment to join our Private Client Team. This team acts for a vast number of high net worth clients as well as numerous private family and charitable trusts.

Based in our Northampton Office, you will provide in-depth business support to the Partners and fee earners within the team. This role will see you working on a great variety of interesting tasks and would be well suited to someone with a flair for PA duties.


**Responsibilities of a Senior Legal Support Assistant include:**


* Proactive diary management for allocated fee earners
* Preparing correspondence and documents through audio typing and word-processing
* Drafting and formatting of letters, documents and forms
* Being the first point of contact for clients
* Liaising directly with third parties such as banks, the Probate Registry and HMRC
* Administrative and business support for allocated fee earners, anticipating the teams needs where possible
* Assisting with the preparation of all financial transactions as required

**About The Candidate:**

As a Senior Legal Support Assistant you will have:


* An adaptable and personable telephone etiquette and experience of working in a client facing environment
* Proactive nature and excellent attention to detail in all aspects of your work
* Strong administration experience with a flair for PA duties
* Experience within a legal, medical or professional services environment; former experience within the Private Client sector would be extremely desirable
* Sound IT knowledge in Microsoft Office, including Excel

We have a fantastic opportunity at one our schools in Northampton for an experienced and interactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join the team on a full time, permanent, term time only basis. You will:

• Have full working knowledge of relevant current policies, codes of practice and legislation within the education sector
• Experience of working with children of relevant age in a learning environment
• Working knowledge and experience of implementing national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes and strategies
• Understanding of statutory frameworks relating to teaching
• Meet Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or equivalent qualification or experience (NVQ Level 4/5)

Key responsibilities:

This is a crucial position in our research support team to maximise and showcase the research of the University. The post holder will play an integral part in our preparations for the Impact & Engagement component of REF (Research Excellence Framework) 2029 and any future assessment exercises. The post-holder will be actively involved in facilitating and coordinating impact training and activities, serving as the initial point of contact for impact & engagement support within the university. They will become an expert on the requirements of the impact and engagement component of REF2029, answering queries and advising academics and senior leadership.

A key part of the post will be developing, structuring, drafting, and editing impact case studies, working alongside academics to achieve the best overall representation of the research undertaken at the University. They will work within the university to create a research culture in which impact is considered throughout the research life cycle ensuring that this can be evidenced effectively and providing maximum reach of our research.

We want you to be able to carry out your work in a way that best supports UON and our staff and students, but also you as an individual. We understand this may vary between different areas of the university as well as from one person to another. About You

All applicants will need to have experience and excellent working knowledge of current Impact & Engagement scholarly and funding landscape, and experience of supporting research in a Higher Education.
