Role Summary

The Programme Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of some of our key Liverpool City Region programmes at a local level. The projects will involve working with a range of primary, secondary schools, Post-16 providers and senior multi-agency stakeholders serving low-income communities to support them to effectively identify and meet the learning and development needs of their pupils.

Key Objectives of the Job

As Programme Manager responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of a number of our Liverpool City Region projects, you will support identified staff from within the senior leadership teams across the education settings to;

-Identify the key areas of strength and development within their settings, particularly in relation to literacy, inclusion, SLCN, NEET and transition.
-Effectively implement new interventions and improve the implementation of existing strategies from a range of evidence-informed development partners, with the aim of transferring learning from transactional interventions into highly inclusive universal practice.
-Support the adoption of a research-led approach to improving outcomes for young people, particularly the most vulnerable, helping both education and multi-agency settings to identify and evidence need, before designing and delivering collective solutions to these needs.
-Help the education settings and associated multi-agency services to reflect on the learning gained through this work and spread that learning both within their setting, across the area and primary, secondary and post 16 phases.
-Develop the collective impact conditions, ensuring that all projects further establish a clear common agenda, shared measurement framework, mutually reinforcing activities, continuous communication channels and sustainable backbone function.

You will also work closely with the rest of the RTS Programme team, currently delivering projects across multiple geographical areas to share key barriers and enablers, effectively accelerating the learning across both the projects and wider organisation.

KEY DUTIES To facilitate support and develop staff and students within the operating department. To lead the agenda on education and development issues at departmental/wider trust meetings. To ensure all records (patients, staff and students) are managed in accordance with good record keeping guidelines. To participate in the selection and recruitment of staff and students. To create and maintain high quality written and electronic records in accordance with data protection and relevant legislation. Support staff awareness and development to ensure emergencies are managed in accordance with hospital policy. First line delegated management to support achievement of the Care Group and Trust objectives through appraisal process. Support the Theatre Operational Leads/Manager to reduce inefficiencies and ineffective utilisation of the theatre department. Support the implementation and regularly review agreed clinical protocols to ensure patient safety and best practice. Participate and support staff and students in undertaking clinical audit. To monitor sickness and absence of seconded staff, apprentices and students ensuring compliance with Trust or HEIs policy and maintain accurate record keeping utilising ESR where applicable. Support both team leader (Appraiser) and the appraisee to complete annual appraisal and periodic review where needed. Support the Theatre Operational Lead for Education and Theatre Operational Manager in ensuring that training and development need identified on a Personal Development Plan and the staff are properly supported by suitably qualified staff to achieve the plan in line with service provision and are met within agreed timescales. Support staff and non-medical students discipline in all areas of service delivery and where necessary implement and/or participate in Trust or HEIs disciplinary procedures to address incidents of misconduct. One of our primary schools in Kirkby is currently looking for an experienced teaching assistant to support a pupil 1:1 within their Reception class. You will need to have experience of supporting children with complex learning needs ideally ASD, and be happy to help with personal care. Your new company
Hays are supporting a Secondary School in West Derby. They require a motivated and experienced learning support assistant to support students across all year groups (KS3, KS4,). This is a long-term contract that will start as soon as possible and the school supports students with a variety of complex needs including ASD, non-verbal, downs syndrome, PDA and GLD.

Your new role
We are sourcing an enthusiastic and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join the school's SEN team. You will work with students who have a range of special educational needs, such as autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and emotional and behavioural difficulties. You will provide 1:1 and classroom support, helping students to access the curriculum and develop their skills and confidence. You will also work closely with the SENCO and other staff to implement individual education plans and monitor progress.

What you'll need to succeed
- A minimum of Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
- Experience of working with SEN students in a secondary school setting
- Knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and relevant strategies and interventions
