The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for securing the highest standards of pupil achievement, through combining first-rate instruction with the effective monitoring and review of pupil progress.

Curriculum

Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Post Graduate Certificate of Education (or equivalent).
- Qualified Teacher Status.
Desirable
- Evidence of further post graduate study.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Excellent working knowledge of the National Curriculum for England / International curriculums.
- High levels of subject knowledge in History and Geography
- A proven track record of high quality teaching.
- A strong academic background, stature and experience that will command the respect of students, parents, colleagues and the wider community.
- A commitment to academic progress and the welfare and safeguarding of pupils.
- Experience of curriculum development.
- Knowledge and understanding of recent educational developments and best practice.
Desirable
- A minimum of three years of relevant teaching experience.
- Experience of working with students who learn differently.
- Ability to teach a second subject.
Personal Qualities
Essential
- Ability to stretch the most able students, whilst also ensuring the curriculum is accessible to all.
- Ability to inspire pupils with a love of learning for its own sake.
- Ability to understand the needs, challenges and opportunities of an international school community.
- Strong interpersonal and teamworking skills.
