About the role

Working for Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service (GDASS - part of GreenSquareAccord) www.gdass.org.uk, GDASS provides support to victims of domestic abuse (16+) living in Gloucestershire.

In addition to a range of support services, GDASS also operate a helpline.

We are currently recruiting for a GMAT Support Worker to join Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service (GDASS) on a fixed term full time basis.

The post is co-located with the multi-disciplinary team based at Children`s Social Care (GMAT) including staff from drug and alcohol, housing support, mental health, adult education and youth support services. The post holder will be expected to complete domestic abuse risk assessments and support people wo are, or who have been experiencing domestic abuse.

The role will work closely with social workers and family support workers in the Social Care Gloucester Multi Agency Team (GMAT) to provide a seamless multi agency service to vulnerable children and their families by providing domestic abuse safety planning and support to the families of vulnerable children..

The post holder will offer training around domestic abuse issues and share good practice with Social Care staff based at GMAT.

About you

It is essential that you are qualified and have the equivalent level of skills and experience to NVQ level 3. A Social Work or Domestic Abuse Qualification or similar would also be beneficial for this role.

You will have previous demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable people and direct experience of domestic abuse risk assessment when working with people needing support.

Previous experience of working with vulnerable children and of working with Social Services is also desirable.

A knowledge of housing law and relevant legislation and demonstrable ability and experience of liaising and working with a wide range of agencies.

You will be required to have excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills along with excellent organisational and administrative skills.

You will be joining an established team of clinical psychologists, psychological therapists, dieticians and specialist nurse. We are dedicated to providing a high quality of service and opportunity to access appropriate provision to meet the bio-psycho-social needs of our service users who present with a range of eating difficulties.

The operational hours are Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm William House, Rathbone Hospital, Liverpool, L13 4AW.

Within the role you will receive mental health specific supervision as well as being supported by a wider team of clinicians and an Occupational therapists in the Trust. The post holder will effectively manage a caseload of clients with a range of complexity and need. The post holder will be an autonomous practitioner, using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions for clients with eating disorders. You will be highly motivated and able to work with different degrees of ambivalence to facilitate behavioural changes to dietary intake and engagement in meaningful activity in support of client’s recovery journey.

The post holder will effectively manage a caseload of clients with complex needs as an autonomous practitioner, using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. Newly appointed post holders who are working towards the foundation gateway will have increased supervision with cases which are considered more complex.


The post holder will provide leadership for junior staff, when appropriate, through supervision and appraisal, and participate in planning, development and evaluation of OT services within a designated
area/team, holding responsibility for defined projects. The post holder will maintain close links with other team members and liaise with external agencies and contribute to the maintenance and development of the Trust OT Service.

Key Responsibilities

The role of the PSO supports the business in developing a year-ahead work plan constrained to the internal resources and funding available. The PSO provides support to those managing packages of work by helping them with a variety of standard business processes / systems / tools and liaising with appropriate internal stakeholders. Role - Business Support to Independent Nuclear Assurance

About the Role

A confident administrator is required to provide proactive business support to Independent Nuclear Assurance.

The main element of the role will be to provide cradle to grave support to the minute taking process for the Nuclear Generation (NG) Nuclear Safety Committee (NSC) meetings which are held on a monthly basis (with the exception of Feb/Aug), noting the requirement to attend all 10 scheduled meetings, as well as any additional Special NSC meetings held throughout the year. Excellent communication and organisational skills, along with initiative is required to ensure minutes are completed to a high standard and within stated timescales in this fast-paced environment.

The individual will form part of a small business support team and will also provide support and absence cover to an existing team member in connection with administration of the NSC process and other routine tasks. In addition, this individual will be required to take ownership for other departmental processes as set by the Business Support Team Lead.

Principal responsibilities:

• Providing secretarial support to the NSC to include:
  • Attending all NSC meetings to record / minute meetings / take actions.
  • Transcription of minutes and distribution for review by case officers and other interested parties.

  • Gaining approval of minutes from the NSC chairman.
  • Final distribution of minutes to stakeholders.
