This Peer Support Coordinator role is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the trust wide project called PCREF (Patient Carer Race Equality Framework) which is aiming to improve access, experience, and outcomes for Black Service Users.

We are looking for a motivated individual to work as a Peer Support Coordinator. This post will be for 1 year on a fixed term contract and there will be an option to extend subject to funding. The work will be to support and coordinate a team of Peer Support Workers within the locality to work with service users and their families/carers/significant others during their journey from inpatient and into out-patient services.

The primary goal of this Croydon PCREF project work in Croydon is to provide culturally appropriate peer support and advocacy (CAPSA) to Black communities in the Croydon borough who are dealing with mental health challenges. Peer Support Workers will be responsible for collaborating with Trust services and establishing connections to support Black patients and carers. They will use their own lived experiences of mental health issues and services to help others, providing an inclusive space where individuals feel respected, accepted, and understood. They will understand that everyone’s experience will be unique but will treat everyone’s experience as being equally important.

Key responsibilities of this role will include coordinating a team of Peer Support Workers, building positive relationships with Black service users, carers and communities including mental health support services. The coordinator role will facilitate the delivery of the PCREF project in Croydon by guiding, coordinating, and collecting data on the interventions that our Peer Support Workers are implementing with our Black service users and carers. The Peer Support Coordinator will use thecollected data to develop insights from partnership working with the Croydon Community Independent Advisory Group to reduce repeated admissions, improve experiences and outcomes for Black service users and their carers.

The Peer Support Coordinators will use their knowledge and expertise to ensure that Black service users’ views, wishes and needs are considered, expressed, and heard. This role will need individuals who acknowledge the inherent challenges of racism for Black communities within traditional mental health services.

Outpatients Clinic Receptionist - Band 2

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Outpatient clinic receptionist to join the team at Croydon University Hospital / Purley War Memorial Hospital.

The post holder’s duties will include making follow up appointments for various outpatients clinics, dealing with telephone and face to face queries and preparing documentation for clinics. The post holder will liaise with patients, GPs, consultants, cancer services and other departments in the hospital.

The post holder will contribute to ensuring that an efficient and effective outpatient services is delivered to meet the needs of the patients.

The ideal candidate will have excellent people skills; excellent communication skills, enjoy working in a busy, challenging environment and have a positive approach to work. In addition they will also need to possess excellent IT skills as a key part of the role is using the hospital computer system as well as emails. They will need to be reliable, self-motivated and great at multi-tasking. Experience of working in a similar post would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.

We have the fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join our team based in Croydon, London, as a Service Charge Analyst. This is a full time, temporary position with an initial contract period between 3-6 months. This position offers a hybrid working approach, with 3 days per week in office and 2 days working from home. The Service Charge Analyst position will involve supporting the team manager to ensure all legislative Service Charge expenditure is levied to customers in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring queries are responded to within the agreed service level agreements. Please note for this role a basic DBS check will be required.
Requirements

• Previous experience of a computerised accounting system
• Previous experience of working with complex control accounts
• Previous experience within a Housing Association is desirable
• Excellent IT skills, including using Excel, Access, Powerpoint, and Word

• Full basic DBS certificate required

Role Expectations

• Calculate provisions based upon actual replacement and refurbishment requirements
• Check contracts and the allocation of costs to schemes
• Review exceptions within schemes and resolve issues
• Monitor the spend on each scheme, investigate and resolve any variations and issues that arise
• Ensure invoices are logged promptly and ensure any issues are resolved
• Work alongside the Rent Team to ensure timely and accurate relet service charges are published
• Lead and deliver timely certification of relevant service charge accounts
• Prepare and issue mailings and ad hoc letters to residents relating to service charges
• Complete tasks for stock disposals and acquisitions
• Liaise with key internal and external partners
• Identify, improve, and streamline processes enabling a better customer experience
• Navigate multiple systems to extrapolate budget and actual data
• Respond to customer enquiries using case management techniques, investigating and escalating issues as necessary

• Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role including experience with personal care
