The In service Engineering - SystemsTeam at Airbus India utilizes primarily understanding of various Aircraft Systems and customer technical support competencies. This team is responsible for providing short term and long term troubleshooting and technical support to customers operating Airbus Aircrafts for issues related to various aircraft systems. The team primarily works with Airbus commercial customers. The team works with design organization, data analytics and Airbus Skywise team to identify solutions for long-term issues.
This team is part of the In Service Engineering department that works on providing global in service engineering support for all structures and systems related topics.
Job Responsibilities
We are looking for an In-Service Engineer - Propulsion Systems who is self-motivated and driven to provide support for in-Service Engineering issues for Engine, APU and Nacelle systems and being responsible for:
Analyzing all in-service events to identify potential impacts on safety, airworthiness, reliability, quality, cost of ownership, passenger and crew comfort,as well as operational costs.,
Identifying and solving in-service issues by monitoring events, identifying fleet impact, analyzing causes and solutions in coordination with Engineering and Programs.
Contributing to the improvement of powerplant systems maturity and reliability.
Attend technical meetings with different stakeholders (customer services teams, system designers, suppliers, etc.)
Proposing solutions and becoming the “voice to the customer”.
Preparing and publishing technical documents to customers.
Participate and contribute to technical forums.
To meet & discuss with customers (from technical meeting to Worldwide symposium) to provide technical information.
Ensuring transfer of in-service experience and maintenance activities to the management, to other divisions of Customer Services and Airbus design organization including vendors.
Ensuring a qualitative communication/ marketing of available solutions to operators.
Using data analytics Airbus tools (typically Skywise Services), develop or utilize available data analytics dashboards to provide visibility on Airbus product reliability.
Required experience & Skills
B.Tech./B.E./M.Tech./M.E. in aerospace or mechanical engineering with minimum 10 years of experience in Aerospace industry
Business Proficiency in English
Good understanding of Thermodynamics and Propulsion systems- Aeroengine, APU and Nacelle systems.
Good understanding of in service issues related to Propulsion systems and their mitigation
Airline operations knowledge
Service minded and highly customer focus, able to understand customer needs
Advanced interpersonal & coordination skills to work in close collaboration with Multi Functional Teams, external stakeholders in a multicultural environment,
Nice to Have
Proficiency in quickly grasping the technical details of different aircraft systems and associating the technology to solve relevant problem statements.
Good understanding of Airbus data analytics tool and use of different data visualization techniques useful for in-service domain
Good communicator so as to represent Airbus India as part of the project
Strong team player motivated to collaborate and find synergies
Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to solve problems creatively
