Job Title: Accounting Strategy & Policy, AVP

Job Description:

Blackstone’s Finance group is seeking an experienced and diligent professional for a promising opportunity as an Assistant Vice President on the Accounting Strategy & Policy team. In this role, he/she/they will provide strategic accounting and policy support to the newly launched Blackstone Private Equity Fund (BXPE), as well as other Blackstone funds.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Research, communicate and document accounting issues and related solutions, in support of the funds’ financial reporting in coordination with fund finance, operations and legal and compliance teams
• Provide structuring advice on proposed transactions in consideration of the fund’s reporting objectives  
• Develop accounting, non-GAAP and metric policies and procedures for BXPE and other Blackstone funds  
• Assist BXPE controllership and SEC reporting teams with preparation of required SEC filings, including Form 10-Q, Form 10-K and Form 8-K
• Follow development of relevant US GAAP accounting standard setting at the Financial Accounting Standards Board, rule-making at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), IFRS accounting standard setting at the International Accounting Standards Board and related interpretations from Big 4 accounting firms. Determine applicability to Blackstone funds, including BXPE.  Where applicable, lead implementation efforts at Blackstone for new standards, rules and interpretations.
• Assist in adherence to SEC independence rules by coordinating with accounting firms, and portfolio companies, preparing training materials, and designing policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with a Big 4 or a combination of Big 4 and Financial Services industry experience. 
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and/or investment company or private fund knowledge

Job Title: Global Fund Finance - Open-Ended Funds - BXPE - AVP

• Work directly with internal and external teams to assist in the preparation and review of the 10-Q, 10-K, and other recurring SEC filings and ensure new transactions are appropriately disclosed 
• Collaborate with various teams to prepare accounting policy memos for new transactions and analyze new accounting standards to determine impact on the fund
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors; oversee SOX controls and documentation
• Work directly with internal and external teams to ensure the financial results are appropriately recorded in the fund’s financial statements
• Responsible for regulatory reporting

Blackstone Internal Audit (“BXIA”) Overview

BXIA provides independent and objective assurance to the Board of Directors and Executive Management by evaluating that the businesses across the global platform are well governed, operating effectively and meeting risk management objectives. We are looking for a Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting SEA&I (Southeast Asia and India) who will be part of the SEA&I Record-to-Report team to ensure complete, accurate and timely financial reporting and maintain an effective internal control environment.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

You will ensure timely and accurate month-end closing across SEA&I territory and will drive continuous improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of the team’s accounting and financial reporting processes. WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE
