As an Accountant, your typical work assignments may include:

• Providing liaison support between the Headquarters (HQ) and Division customers on various ongoing and emerging initiatives.

2. Develops and conducts local internal control reviews (ICRs) of Services NAF activities; conducts higher headquarters developed management control reviews (MCRs); and performs a variety of other oversight tasks related to financial planning and administration of accounting systems covering operations and expenses of supported Services activities.
3. Tests and monitors cash controls to ensure they are functioning properly and coordinates annual impartial inventories.
4. Reviews NAF and APF budgets of all supported Services activities/programs.

• Apply knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), federal financial accounting standards and guidance issued by the Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB), and current statutory guidance to provide general accounting, financial statement, and reporting support.
• Perform a variety of activities related to the daily financial operations of the Agency's financial procedures/processes, which include: FBwT; Property, Plant, and Equipment; Advances and Prepayments; Accounts Payable/Accruals; Payroll/HR; Budget Formulation and Execution; Travel; and Financial Reporting.
• Review, analyze, compile, and reconcile financial data processed by the Agency's shared service providers on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis; identify issues and recommend solutions in a timely manner.
• Perform various elements of the financial audit processes and procedures.
• Apply technical expertise to strengthen internal controls and improve existing accounting policies/procedures.
• Assist in the preparing findings for use in formal and informal briefings.
• Perform other required OCFO duties, as needed.

• Performs accounting and financial program analysis work including the maintenance of accounting records and preparation, analysis, and interpretation of financial statement and reports.

The role holder, reporting to the Financial Controller, leads the full spectrum of Finance of the Mini business unit of the company, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, project management, property management, tax planning, corporate governance and treasury matters, in compliance with Financial Reporting Standards and Group accounting policies.

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess The Following

Qualification and Experience

• Degree or professional qualification in Accountancy or CPA with at least 5 years of relevant experience, of which 3 years are in a leadership role.

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong IFRS acumen and understanding of financial & tax reporting.

• Good analytical skills with a keen eye for details and desire to probe further into data.

• Effective communication skills – both written and verbal.

• Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.

Responsibilities:

· Hands-on in preparation of financial reports in compliances with the Group and Company policies and SFRS standards.

· Overall, in-charge of full set of books bookkeeping which include GL, AP & AR related matters.

· Perform revenue and cost recognition according to SFRS115 accounting standard

· Coordinate closely with the sales, project, and operations teams to maintain up-to-date project statuses. Ensure timely updates to project-related schedules, including contract assets, contract liabilities, and project job costing, in preparation for review.

Requirements:
