Job Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist with a minimum of 2 years experienced including prior work within the goverment sector, to join our dynamic team in the automotive servicing industry. The ideal candidate will ensure that all automotive repairs, maintenance, and services in various workshops meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the service processes, conduct and prepare for audits, inspections, investigating quality issues or customer feedbacks, and collaborating with the team to ensure that customer vehicles are serviced efficiently and to specification.

Core Responsibilities

Skills & Experience Required

(1) Serves as the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) for wing maintenance policy, advising supervisors and employees on both general policy and specific maintenance matters. Makes decisions and recommendations on technical concerns presented by supervisors. Utilizes a comprehensive knowledge and ability to interpret Air Force Instructions, Technical Orders, engineering drawings, product specifications, Air Force Occupational and Health (AFOSH) and environmental standards, public law, and locally developed policy. (2) Maintenance Standardization Evaluation Program (MSEP): Administers, evaluates, and coordinates a comprehensive quality assurance, maintenance standardization, and inspection program for all areas of the maintenance organization, all maintenance disciplines, job series and Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSCs). Evaluates the quality of maintenance accomplished in the maintenance organization and performs the necessary quality functions to execute the MSEP, designed to provide management an objective sampling of both the quality of equipment and the proficiency of maintenance personnel. Ensures the maintenance organization meets its responsibility for air-worthy aircraft and component quality for a broad and complex production workload, e.g., highly advanced aircraft, aircraft systems, avionics systems, electronic equipment, aircraft structures, composites, life safety systems, armament, munitions, and other areas of similar complexity. Participates in a review of the organization's quality plans, procedures and practices to assure adequacy and compliance to local and higher-level directives.

(a) Executes the evaluation program and accumulates data using Inspection and Evaluation techniques such as Task Evaluations, Quality Verification Inspections, Special Inspections, Personnel Evaluations and Management Inspections. Evaluates the quality of in-process and after-the-fact maintenance and ensures prescribed technical and management procedures are followed. Serves as the subject matter expert for critical assessment programs such as; Unit Self Inspections, Maintenance Standardization, Operational Readiness and Unit Compliance Inspections. Responsible for the development and maintenance of organizational level checklists. Ensures metrics are established and monitored to assess key result areas for successful mission accomplishment including, but not limited to, items where non-compliance would affect system reliability or result in serious injury, loss of life, excessive cost, or litigation. Evaluates the proficiency of assigned personnel in the execution of assigned maintenance tasking through Personnel Evaluations (PEs). Ensures safety, security, and Consolidated Tool Kit (CTK) programs are followed in accordance with applicable regulations and public law through the routine inspection of work centers.

This position is located in an Air National Guard Aviation Wing, Maintenance Group. The purpose of this position is to supervise, establish and direct a planned, systematic approach of a quality assurance program designed to provide the maintenance managers confidence that aircraft, aircraft systems, products or supporting processes conform to technical, safety, work load and customer requirements. The position serves as the Supervisor of the Quality Assurance Division. In that capacity, the supervisor plans, implements, and executes a quality assurance program that includes independent surveillance and evaluations of all assigned aircraft, aircraft components, and maintenance personnel. Objectives of the position:

This role is for the validation of Customer technical requirements by means of inspection of In-coming goods and release lots in SAP with defined usage decisions. Testing of ISIR samples (type test) for product approval process (power, control & data cable) with compliance to company standards and verify compliance to the international cable standards e.g. EN / IEC requirements. Understanding of each testing standards and be able to communicate the requirements to respective parties including suppliers. Establish test specification to be followed by suppliers. To be able to operate all laboratory equipment in the process of cable type testing. Keep track of product approvals and Company's approved suppliers’ performance monitoring to ensure continuous product compliance to the intended specification. Corrective and preventive action process with supplier with CAR logging and follow-up for effective closure of complaints and issues related to product quality.

Knowledge in product testing and certification will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Validate product quality conformance by conducting In-coming inspection and type testing for cable & accessories, include updating into SAP.

2. To be able to operate Laboratory test equipment for cable testing and accessories inspection

3. Understand international cable testing standards and inspection requirements with compliance to internal ISO procedures. Prepare test specification with detailed inspection requirement to be followed by the supplier.

4. Prepare and issue Customer test reports, certificates & COC

5. Track supplier quality by means of in-coming inspection or arise from Customer complaints. Update results in SAP system and release inspected lots according to the usage decision defined.

6. To generate supplier CAR and track for corrective action and effective closure of CARs by liaising with the supplier.

7. Liaising with relevant departments including suppliers to effectively close the CAR issued for Customer complaints or CAR’s which arise from internal findings (Z2 & Z8).

8. Maintain inspection records in SAP, determine skip lot and setup inspection requirements in SAP.

9. Assist Customer’s Technical enquiries e.g. Customer letter, RoHS, REACH & CE

10. Understand and comply with relevant ISO procedures, work instructions and corporate directives

11. Assist in other day to day activities related to QA department as assigned by superior.
