Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing industrial cleaning equipment such as high-pressure jet, leaf blower, scrubbing machine, vacuum cleaner, battery operated cart and etc
• Inspecting and assessing the functionality of equipment
• Troubleshooting machineries breakdowns
• Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks
• Preparation and submission of maintenance reports
• Liaise with external vendors for necessary equipment repair
• Inspect and monitor quality standards of equipment / tools
• Perform asset tagging to ensure accountability of equipment
• Prepare inspection finding reports and communicate with internal staff / vendors on any faults, and follow up to ensure rectification
• Any ad-hoc assignments

Requirements

• Valid Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence
• Minimum 2 years of experience in similar capacity and relevant knowledge in electrical and mechanical.
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Basic computer and report writing skills.
• Good time management and planning skills
• Hands-On Physical work required
• Driving company lorry (manual)
• Working hours: 8am to 8pm (Monday to Saturday)

As a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC, you will:

• Install, modify, or repair high-pressure piping systems and equipment such as steam heating, steam generators, hot water and hydraulic systems, radiators, and vacuum pumps, condensate pumps, and circulating pumps. Plan routing, placement and pitch; determine proper valve, pressurizing regulators, and expansion joints; install braces and support to control movement and vibration, allowing for expansion and contraction.
• Fabricate, install and maintain sheet metal equipment and fixtures such as machine guards, shelves, coin stands, ventilators, chutes, bulkheads, ducts, metal roofing, flashing, and hoppers. Work involves design, layout, set up, and the utilization of a variety of equipment and hand tools such as drill press, hand braker, hand nibler, squares, and shears.
• Perform oxyacetylene, gas carbon-arc. Tig arc, and heliarc welding, brazing, soft and silver soldering, flame and arc burning and cutting to fabricate, maintain and repair a variety of items such as piping, tubing, machine parts, and structures. Weld such metals as aluminum, stainless steel, mild steel, cast iron, bronze, brass, copper and various alloys including dissimilar metals such as brass to steel, black iron to stainless steel, and galvanized steel to black iron.
• Erect, alter, repair or remove interior walls and partitions of various composition, such as wood and metal studding and bracing, sheetrock, wood and other paneling materials. Install, repair or replace wood and metal window framing, doors, door jams, baseboards, molding, transoms, and panels.

• *Utilize skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, concrete, welding, and painting to inspect, repair and replace fixtures, utilities, and grounds upkeep for related structures.
• *Operate tools and equipment of various trades, including electrical test equipment, lawn care equipment, hand tools, power tools, air compressors, chain saws, compactors, and portable pumps.
• *Operate various equipment, pick-up trucks, forklift, tractor, all-terrain vehicle, and riding lawn mower.
• *Responsible for the proper care and maintenance of equipment used.
• *Perform daily maintenance and does minor repairs on supported facilities.
• *Schedule and report use of materials and equipment utilized on each job.

Job Scope

1. Responsible for carrying building and equipment maintenance projects
2. Perform both corrective and preventive routine maintenance, through regular inspection and maintenance.
3. Implement and improve the existing ISO maintenance program and to ensure trouble free production, and ensure adherence to 5S principles
4. Assist in continuous improvement of existing processing and packaging technology, providing equipment expertise to trouble shoot performance issues.
5. Execute the tasks of overall upkeep of the whole building and facilities.

Requirements

• Electrical troubleshooting and mechanical setup skills
• Knowledge in DFMEA or other tools.
• PM skill in mechanical & electrical system
