We are wishing to recruit a Finance Administrator to start in February 2025 to cover maternity leave within our knowledgeable and dedicated finance team, supporting all seven schools across our Academy Trust. This role will require you to be an extremely personable and confident communicator to handle enquiries via the telephone and emails relating to the Trust’s financial matters. The role will be varied and rewarding as you will be supporting the Trust’s pupils and their parents, as well ensuring suppliers are paid on time. You will have access to a comprehensive suite of administrative tools and supporting software packages including Microsoft 365. The use of Teams will be at the centre of your role on a daily basis. You will use Iris PS Financials, our nominated accounting system and on the job training will be provided.
We anticipate that this position will be for nine months working 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. There may be times when an earlier or later start time is required, however the normal working hours are Monday – Friday: 8:30am until 5:00pm (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break). This position is an all-year-round role with 4 weeks’ annual leave plus bank holidays.
The actual salary will commence in the region of £26,000 per annum.

What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will:

• Be an enthusiastic practitioner, keen to take on a mixed Reception/Year 1 class (there are currently 19 pupils).
• Have experience of planning for all subjects within the Early Years/KS1 Curriculum.
• Have a passion for the environment – e.g. a Forest Schools qualification.
• Be up-to-date with approaches to teaching and keen to take on new challenges in the profession.
• Have experience of delivering systematic, synthetic phonics programs (we use Little Wandle).
• Be able to maintain our warm and welcoming environment, to enable all children to reach their full potential.

Full Time – Days, nights and weekends

We are seeking applicants holding a valid SIA licence who are also higher level security cleared to control access and egress sites in Cumbria.

Please note that due to the remote nature of these sites candidates will need their own mode of transport.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to -

• Providing an onsite professional security presence
• Providing a deterrent to criminal activity, theft and anti-social behaviour
• Provide protection for customers, property and staff
• Internal and external site patrols
