The 4B infusion unit is an 8 chair and 3 bed treatment/recovery area within the South Texas Veterans Health Care System, San Antonio, TX at Audie L. Murphy Hospital. 4B Outpatient is a fast- paced unit with a focus of pre/post care of the procedural patient and recovery of outpatient procedural patients.

The 4B Infusion Unit Registered Nurse will primarily work within the outpatient clinic and trained in observation unit care. In this capacity, the RN will administer a variety of intravenous agents to include blood products. The RN will be responsible for routine maintenance of short and long-term intravenous catheters. The Candidates must have the drive and be committed to provide the veterans with efficient, high quality, and safe care in alignment with STVHCS ICARE values. The RN must demonstrate the ability to work effectively as a team member and a leader.
