What is the job role?

The Adult Education Service is positioned in the Skills, Employment & Adult Education team within the Council’s Regeneration and Economy Directorate. The strategic intent of the service is to maximise the employability of adults, so they can progress into work, further learning/training, or engage in voluntary, social and community activities.

The Service is seeking a tutor with relevant skills, knowledge and experience to design, plan, deliver and report on Business Administration & Customer Service programmes. The role will focus on the delivery of Business Administration & Customer Service Apprenticeships supporting current and new partnerships. Provision will be delivered during the daytime, evening and at weekends, throughout the year, to meet identified needs. You will also be required to support & deliver (non)accredited courses taught online and/or face-to-face in a range of community settings within the city.

Who are we looking for?

An experienced adult educator with relevant skills, knowledge and experience to design, plan, deliver and report on Business Administration programmes.

You will have up to date knowledge of curriculum practice and issues, and relevant teaching experience within a community-based adult education context in the specified subject area. You will need to demonstrate the ability to deliver an (in)formal, culturally competent, and inclusive curriculum to raise aspirations and make a difference to residents from diverse backgrounds within the city.

You will have experience of setting individual targets and evaluating learner progress and achievements through accredited and non-accredited provision. You must evidence a good understanding of equity and inclusion, safeguarding and Prevent and be proactive in relation to safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults.

Main Duties/ Responsibilities 1. To assist in the development of the aseptic service. 2. To practice as an expert practitioner, providing advice and consultancy to patients, healthcare professionals and other agencies relating to pharmaceutical aspects of aseptic services within the department and on the wards/clinical areas. 3. Ensure patients discharge medication is accurate and dispensed in advance of the patients discharge, by writing the patients medication on the GP discharge prescription and conveying to the GP all necessary information concerning the patient medication to ensure a safe transfer to primary care. Within your designated clinical area of responsibility, ensure best practice and clinical governance is applied to drug therapy by providing medical and nursing staff with: a. Maintain 247, E-Rostering (BankStaff), TempRE and in house systems with all information connected to booking processes for bank and agency staff/workers, ensuring systems are maintained in a timely manner. Work alongside the TSS invoice and reporting teams to ensure booking information corresponds with payment information. What is the job role?

As a Supported Accommodation Manager you will be responsible for overseeing delivery of day-to-day running of the supported accommodation buildings; delivering exceptional customer services, managing Housing Officers, ensuring appropriate staffing and resourcing, including staff rotas, fire/health and safety cover and recruiting and training.

• Minimise the time a property is void ensuring that a property is let within set targets.
• Make sure the Council’s accommodation is well managed and maintained.

This is a full-time permanent post, working 37 hours a week between the hours of 8am - 8pm. In addition to your salary you will receive a shift allowance.
