This will be 40 hours over 4 days days per week including weekends. Scrub Nurses / ODP are an integral part of our theatre teams and will undertake a variety of duties. Youll be setting the theatre up ready to accommodate patients. We can typically see 18-24 patients a day in our high-volume cataract surgery provision, so youll thrive working in an efficient and fast paced environment. Youll provide a competent scrub provision, supporting the surgeon through the daily theatre list, anticipating any potential problems and resolving these. At the end of the day, youll help clean down the theatre and in all you do youll ensure the highest standards are met in terms of patient safety, clinical compliance and hygiene levels. Aside from providing Scrub services in the theatre you'll also undertake medicine management and audit duties as well as maintaining accurate patient records. You'll manage clinical waste and ensure the correct disposal procedures are implemented. The thought of eye surgery can be a daunting prospect for patients to deal with, so our Scrub Nurses need to be empathetic and friendly and able to put patients at ease and help them feel comfortable during their time in surgery. What skills and experience do I need? You need to be a fully qualified Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner and need a current registration with the NMC or HCPC. In an ideal world you will already have ophthalmic experience in a theatre setting. If not in most cases we can teach this, as long as you already have extensive theatre scrub experience. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team and provide leadership to our Stroke and Neurology OT service. The post holder will lead and deliver occupational therapy services alongside a dedicated team of OT staff, working on the hyper acute/acute/ rehabilitation stroke unit, and early supported discharge service. Early supported discharge operates as an outreach service from the stroke unit, enabling patients to continue therapy at home following discharge. Esteem North Academy is seeking a flexible, committed, enthusiastic and highly skilled Intervention Assistant, to deliver phonics, literacy and reading interventions at our new Chesterfield site. The academy provides statutory education to children who are at risk of, or have been, permanently excluded. Pupils who attend the academy have challenging and often complex needs, and exhibit behaviours that prevent them from attending a mainstream school. A significant majority are weak readers with reading ages well below their chronological age.

The successful candidate will identify pupils at KS3 and 4 who require reading intervention, deliver a variety of strategies and record and monitor progress and impact. Pupils will be supported to develop their reading ability so that they can access the rest of their curriculum and be a functional member of society when they leave our academy.

Applicants should have good knowledge and experience of working with Read Write Inc Fresh Start or of another Phonics programme. An affinity for pupils with behaviour, emotional and social difficulties is an essential quality for this challenging but rewarding opportunity. Esteem North Academy is seeking an additional flexible, committed, enthusiastic and highly skilled STLA to assist permanently excluded pupils, or those at risk of exclusion, with learning and engagement at our Barrow Hill site. This site educates primary aged children from reception to year 6.

The academy provides statutory education to children who are at risk of, or have been, permanently excluded. Pupils who attend the academy have challenging and often complex needs, and exhibit behaviours that prevent them from attending a mainstream school. You will be allocated to a tutor group. The role will involve supporting pupils in lessons to engage in their learning and supporting pupils at break and lunch times. This role will involve working with small groups, or with pupils on a one to one basis to meet their needs as directed by the class teacher or site lead. Classes are small with approximately 2 to 7 pupils. There may be some daily home tuition when this is required to meet pupils needs.

Applicants should have good knowledge and experience of working with disaffected pupils in a school or other alternative setting. An affinity for pupils with behaviour, emotional and social difficulties is an essential quality for this challenging but rewarding opportunity. Applicants should be resilient, have high expectations, and a sense of humour. You must be able to build positive relationships with our pupils and think outside of the box. You will be responsible for contributing to a small staffing team to ensure that the site runs smoothly, and this may involve stepping up to deliver lessons in staff absence, to small groups or 1:1. A growth mindset and positive ethos are essential characteristics that we are looking for.

The role will be based at one of our sites and mileage claims for any travel are included in this role. There may be travel to our other academy sites for meetings, Inset and CPD. You are required to have daily access to transport with business use included on your car insurance before you begin the role. You may be required to carry out some home learning or safe and well visits for non- attenders to support the pastoral team.

The Esteem North Academy is seeking flexible, committed, enthusiastic and highly skilled Specialist Teaching and Learning Assistants, to deliver off -site English, Maths and Personal Social Development sessions to a caseload of pupils from either the High Peak or Chesterfield areas.

The academy provides statutory education to children who are at risk of, or have been, permanently excluded. Pupils who attend the academy have challenging and often complex needs and may exhibit behaviours that prevent them from attending a mainstream school.

The successful candidates will inspire, motivate, and support pupils to reach their full potential, by providing education at off-site venues or pupil’s home. We have developed a variety of bespoke learning pathways to meet the needs of our pupils. This role is to ensure that all pupils receive an education even if they are not school site or group ready.

Applicants should have good knowledge and experience of working with disaffected pupils in KS3 and 4 in a school or other alternative setting. An affinity for pupils with behaviour, emotional and social difficulties is an essential quality for this challenging but rewarding opportunity. Applicants should be resilient, have high expectations, and a sense of humour. You will be working in pupil’s homes and so must be able to build relationships with families and other external agencies. This post will involve lone working.

The role will have an allocated base where mileage will be calculated from. Mileage is claimed for this role monthly in arrears. There may travel to our other academy sites for meetings, Inset and CPD. You are required to have daily access to transport with business use included on your car insurance before you begin the role. You may be required to transport pupils in your own car, carry out some home learning or safe and well visits for non- attenders to support the pastoral team. Home to base mileage cannot be claimed for.

All successful candidates are likely to begin at the Hasland site until the new site is ready to open. Some staff will remain at Hasland and some will move to the new site.

Pupils who attend the academy have challenging and often complex needs, and exhibit behaviours that prevent them from attending a mainstream school. You will be allocated to a tutor group. The role will involve supporting pupils in lessons to engage in their learning and supporting pupils at break and lunch times. This role will involve working with small groups, or with pupils on a one to one basis to meet their needs as directed by the class teacher or site lead. Classes are small with approximately 10 pupils. This new site will open with a new staffing team and therefore your ability to cooperate as a team player is essential. You will be involved with the setting up and opening of the new site. The new site may house approximately 100 pupils over time.
