Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is an Inherited Cardiac Condition (ICC), for which the management options have evolved significantly in the last few years. Recently published international guidelines and national papers have recommended updated care pathway for obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy patients which include medical and interventional options. Aiming is to make all options available for the patients who can benefit from them, additional work is required in order to develop the appropriate and patient-centred model of care. This requires multidisciplinary work and will benefit from cross-institutional collaboration. Skills in cardiac imaging will be important for the delivery of the role.

General Manage an accurate and up-to-date appointments diary, scheduling and planning future engagements, including organising meetings, arranging events, collating appropriate papers and gathering information in advance of specific meetings for Executive Directors. Where appropriate, drafting replies to correspondence on behalf of the Executive Director. Organise meetings, both internal and external as required ensuring preparation and circulation of agendas and documents; taking and producing action notes and memos; ensuring these are produced to an accurate and professional standard, notifying meeting members of action points which relate to them. Oversee the booking of meeting rooms and the day to day management of these. Setting regular 1:1s with appropriate members of the executive team, organising appraisals, recording annual leave, sickness and assisting with any other HR related administrative matters. A full-time, fixed term sub-specialty fellow in interventional radiology is required, with a special interest in interventional oncology. The post is to last 12 months. The purpose is to occupy a vacant, part deanery funded sub-specialty training post in interventional oncology.

The post holder will require experience in general interventional procedures, including percutaneous drainages and peripheral/ deep visceral biopsy under ultrasound and CT guidance. Some experience of vascular interventional radiology will be advantageous.

The post is an opportunity to work in a specialist oncological centre and develop a special interest through participation in oncological procedures and some MDT work across The Royal Marsden's 3 sites.
