We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Psychological Therapist/Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to take up a 12-month, fixed-term position as a B8a Senior Psychological Therapist/Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologist within the Blackpool CMHT.

The role is part of a waiting list initiative to support the existing B8b Principle Clinical Psychologist with the CMHT psychology waiting list. You will be joining a network of friendly, supportive and highly motivated psychological therapists/psychologists working across the Fylde Coast locality. Psychology is well-established within the Blackpool CMHT and is a highly valued part of the MDT. This post is ideally suited to a candidate who has a passion for working creatively with complex presentations.

There are opportunities to develop therapeutic skills in exciting therapeutic approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) with two IFS Level 1 trained therapists and two IFS Level 2 trained therapist working within the locality. You will also have access to support from two EMDR Consultants, one of whom is also a BACP accredited CBT Therapist. Clinical supervision can be provided in each of these modalities.

The team is supported clinically and professionally by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who works across Adult Mental Health and Access and Urgent Care services within the Fylde Coast.



To provide a qualified Psychological Therapist/Clinical or Counselling Psychology Service to service users within the nominated team(s) including the provision of enhanced specialist psychological assessment and therapy, working within the policies, procedures and protocols applicable to the service.

To offer advice and consultation on patients' psychological care to psychology and non-psychology colleagues and to other, non-professional carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures.

To develop advanced skills in consultancy by implementing formal systems of consultancy within the nominated team(s), as directed and guided by your Locality Professional Lead and his/her deputies.

To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area in which the postholder works.

The base would be the Gateway, Blackpool, primarily, although there may be some requirements to travel to other venues across the Fylde Coast as appropriate.

As a key member of the Estates team, the Energy Manager provides a vital role in Atlas. You will support the delivery of the Atlas sustainability agenda and our energy commitments, whilst supporting the Trust with their wider Green Plans. As the Energy Manager you will drive and be part of permanent cultural change in our organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Estates, The Energy Manager is responsible for managing the following key aspects:
1. Energy Procurement and Monitoring
2. Environmental and Energy Compliance
3. Energy Reporting and Data Management
The Energy Manager will be the lead specialist responsible for developing and driving forward Atlas’s and our client’s sustainability and energy programmes. They will strive to improve the client’s performance via the services Atlas provides and meet local and national targets whilst ensuring the cost-effective purchase of utility supplies and provide technical interpretation from internal and external sources.
The Energy Manager role is a vital component of our client’s strategy to manage its sustainability targets and environmental impacts whilst providing consistently high-quality services to patients and value for money to the taxpayer, in addition to ensuring that sustainability is underpinned across Atlas in that we do.
The Energy Manager will work closely with the Head and Deputy Head of Estates to promote energy efficiency and will act as the “operational interface” to ensure that the trusts Carbon Reduction Strategy is fully implemented and that the Trust meets internal and external energy and utility targets.

solutions and ensuring Atlas demonstrates it is a sustainably focused organisation and leading the Atlas sustainability plan.

Whilst not exhaustive, the following duties represent an indication of the key duties and responsibilities expected of the post holder.


Energy and Environment
• Responsible for development and implementation of Energy and sustainability policy
• Responsible for Energy and Utility budgets
• Trust lead on matters relating to Energy and Utility management
• Management of energy and utility contracts and accounts
• Use of ‘Key Performance Indicators’ to demonstrate energy performance on a monthly basis
• Working with staff and management at all levels to develop a carbon reduction strategy within the Trust
• Use of BMS and other systems to ensure optimum energy use and produce recommendations to Estates Manager on changes required
• The post holder is the nominated person for CHPQA and Climate Change Levy exemption application.
• Research to identify and apply for funding opportunities
• Delivery of NHS energy saving targets and CO2 targets
• Research and Evaluation of new technologies
• Forecast budget outturn to identify ‘Spend to Save’ available funding and demonstrate business case for adequate provision of funds
• Development of business cases for the implementation of CO2 and energy reduction projects alongside implementation of energy management schemes
• Monitoring and targeting of all energy and utilities
• Use of benchmarking to identify, and where possible adopt, best practice
• Working with capital project managers and maintenance staff to ensure energy conservation is appropriately incorporated within engineering and construction schemes
• Influencing procurement to improve sustainability
• Energy surveys as required to meet statutory requirements throughout the Trust



Sustainability
• Lead, advise and advocate sustainable practice across Atlas and the Trust estate. Developing and implementing sustainability strategies and programmes.
• Support the client in the delivery of the Green plan.
• Integrate sustainability goals into business processes by leading the Atlas sustainability plan and provide evidence of delivery through updating the sustainability dashboard.
• Organise the training and upskilling of Atlas employees on energy saving and sustainability issues
• Ensure the Trust sustainability steering group is adequately represented on behalf of Atlas.
• Grown the relationship between the Atlas and the Trust green leads.
• Own, lead and move forward the Sustainability Action plan using the agreed SDAT (Sustainable Development Assessment Tool).
• Lead and organise the Atlas Sustainability Group ensuring action plans are lead and progressed.
• Ensure relevant initiatives are identified to deliver on the Atlas sustainability and support the Green Plan and they are costed within the sustainability budget.



Environmental and Energy Compliance
• Monitor compliance with environmental and social standards
• Identification of statutory and NHS standards applicable to Estates function
• Working with Estates staff and other stakeholders ensure policies, procedures and systems of evidencing compliance are in place
• Risk rating of any non-compliance and, with responsible manager, development and monitoring of action plans relating to Estates and sustainability governance
• Use of IT systems to collect, report, and monitor compliance evidence



Sustainability and Energy Reporting and Data management
• Prepare sustainability reports (reporting) and ensure Atlas has quality data
• Collection and validation of data for loading on to ERIC and similar database
• Generation of reports on request from data stored
• Use of data to assist Finance department to re-charge site overheads including energy and utilities to end users.
