Your new role

The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for contract invoicing, credit control, financial tasks, accounting support, and maintaining effective communication within the finance department.
Key responsibilities include:

• Sales Ledger: Creating and updating invoices, managing credit control, preparing weekly aged debtors reports, handling on-hold and allocation reporting, and processing expenses.
• Contract Ledger: Raising applications and processing cost transfer journals.
• Bank: Allocating cash.
• Sales & Purchase Ledger: Maintaining customer and supplier accounts.
• Purchase Ledger: posting overhead invoices and reconciling statements.
• WIP: conducting project reviews and posting committed costs.

What you'll need to succeed

• Sales, purchase ledger, and credit control maintenance experience.
• Finance and accounting knowledge.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a finance team.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage.
