Salary range per annum £79,482 to £89,238* plus London weighting

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a commercial accountant to support our new RCN Institute of Nursing Excellence. The post holder is the main finance point of contact for the RCN Institute of Nursing Excellence and will provide support and guidance to the Chief Nursing Officer, RCN Institute Director, and the Institute senior team.
The postholder is responsible for overseeing the financial management and performance of the day-to-day activity of the Institute as well as ensuring adherence to the RCN financial control framework. The postholder is responsible for monitoring the Institute’s financial performance against targets and returns and will utilise best practice tools and methods as appropriate.
You will have a recognised CCAB qualification and have worked in the commercial and or educational sector with significant experience in accounting roles. You will have knowledge and experience of utilising financial analysis tools and business models.
You will be a self-motivator with proven experience of working on successful funding bids and pricing strategies.
You will be experienced in working on change projects collaborating with senior professionals across a wide range of disciplines as well as the Finance department.

*We offer a competitive pay structure with annual pay progression until you reach the top of the salary scale. We normally offer new employees the first point of the salary range, although you may be able to negotiate a higher starting salary depending on your skills, experience and current salary.

Our hybrid working model allows for up to 60% of your working time to be carried out from home. At least 40% of your working time will be spent working in person.
