The role
As an Assistant Facilities Asset Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be part of a team responsible for the assets across the entire Devonport Site. A significant, recent commitment to increase the functionality has led to the requirement to expand the team.
Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for a range of tasks within the team, with the overall aim to maintain the compliance and safety of all assets and contribute to investment decisions and future asset management strategies.
- Responsible for the contribution towards compliance, surveying, asset registration and disposal, concessions and deviations and supporting the maintenance function.
- Working closely with the Facilities Engineering teams.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential experience of the Assistant Facilities Asset Manager
- Understanding of engineering design and safety practices.
- Project specification, planning, project management and estimating experience.
- Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Waterfront/Civil background - Desirable.
Qualifications for the Assistant Facilities Asset Manager
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in an appropriate engineering discipline.
- Registration as a Chartered Engineer or working towards - Desirable
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
