Ensures AF and sponsor compliance with sponsorship agreement. Attends events and serves as point of contact for sponsors at event. Compiles and provides sponsor with copies of subsequent publicity and develops appropriate thank you letter and after-action report. Stays current on all aspects of administration of the Commercial Sponsorship and Advertising program. Identifies advertising vehicles to market under marketing program. Develops pricing and rate structure for paid advertising in Services publications, point of sale venues and collateral materials such as placemats, bowling center scoring screens and golf course tees. The Local Recovery Coordinator (LRC) functions as a champion and advocate for the recovery model. LRC also serves as a recovery ombudsman to the Associate Chief of Staff of Mental Health (ACOS-MH), program managers, and staff on recovery and implementation of recovery-oriented services. In conjunction with the ACOS-MH, the LRC develops a 3-5 year plan for the facility that identifies staged implementation of recovery-oriented services (e.g., use of recovery plans). LRC is responsible for coordinating the evaluation of recovery implementation at the facility and reporting results to the National Recovery Coordinator (NRC). With guidance from the NRC, the LRC will implement measures to assess recovery policy and procedure adherence, as well as assess the extent that the recovery model is embodied in the Mental Health programs. Some of the duties include, but are not limited to;

• Develops an ongoing education plan for providers, Veterans, and families that includes recurrent didactic presentations about elements of recovery (e.g., recovery plans) and recovery implementation by experts.
• Serves as consultant to Mental Health programs and recovering Veterans in development of peer support groups, consumer counseling, and consumer operated services, as per local needs and resources.
• Advises the Mental Health Program Managers on filling peer specialist positions and serves as a consultant to peers specialists.
• Assists with VA regional or local recovery-oriented trainings, meetings, or conferences as needed.
• Provides an annual report on implementation progress to the VISN, RC and the NRC; other reports will also be prepared as requested.
• Meets quarterly via conference call with the VISN RC to coordinate a network response to recovery implementation and implementation of CO policies and procedures related to recovery.
• Must have a high level of skill and expertise to establish and maintain effective therapeutic relationships with Veterans in the Mental Health Service and/or their families.

The Senior HUD-VASH Social Worker may be assigned administrative responsibility for clinical program development and is accountable for clinical program effectiveness and modification of service patterns. Assignments include clinical settings where they have limited access to onsite supervision such as CBOCs or satellite outpatient clinics. The senior social worker collaborates with the other members of the treatment team in the provision of comprehensive health care services to Veterans, ensures equity of access, service, and benefits to this population, ensures the care provided is of the highest quality.

The Senior HUD-VASH Social Worker provides leadership, direction, orientation, coaching, in-service training, staff development, and continuing education programs for assigned social work staff. They serve on committees, work groups, and task forces at the facility, VISN and national level, or in the community as deemed appropriate by the supervisor, Social Work Executive or Chief of Social Work Services.

Specialized treatment services are provided in various community settings, including the Veterans' home, residential care homes, or other supportive housing, contract nursing homes, and various other community locations. Work is done in the context of an interdisciplinary treatment team, and extensive liaison activities with other VA and community partners are required to provide continuity of care for assigned Veterans in outpatient settings

Veterans treated are within a geographical area of approximately 50-mile radius, with an approximate case load of between 10-15 Veterans. Their psychiatric and psychosocial needs are complex and require a high degree of clinical oversight and high level of problem-solving capabilities. The position is separate from the medical center, is community based and approximately 75% of treatment occurs in community or home based settings. The Senior Social Worker practices independently, using professional judgment and expertise to make decisions about services and treatment provided to Veterans and their families.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Provide intensive case management and treatment services to assigned veterans and significant others, consistent with the goals and methods of MHICM and the VA Mental Health Initiative and with all relevant Medical Center policies and procedures. Intensive case management services are characterized by assertive outreach, individualized treatment planning, multidimensional orientation, and intensive delivery of services.
• Frequent (at least weekly and sometimes daily) direct contact with Veterans and persons involved
  in Veterans care to provide therapy and support. Frequency of contacts is increased in times of crisis.
• Participate in team staffing regarding patient selection, determination of treatment plans and goals, progress evaluation, discharge planning, and after care.
• Work assertively and consistently with VA staff and inpatient teams to assure continuity of care by providing consultation regarding clinical needs, treatment plans, and case management services for assigned patients.

The Senior Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (LPMHC) is under the Mental Health & Behavioral Sciences Service and works with and clinically supports Acute Care Mental Health, which includes an inpatient psychiatric unit, inpatient medicine, and the emergency department. In addition to providing direct patient care, the Senior LPMHC functions as the facility Baker Act Coordinator and has supportive administrative duties.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing a full range of mental health services to patients with complex mental, medical, and psychosocial problems in Acute Care Mental Health.
• Completing Suicide Risk Identification to include CSREs, Safety Plans, and consultation with the Suicide Prevention Team as needed.
• Providing evidence-based psychotherapy services including individual, family, couples, or group psychotherapy and behavioral modification for addressing behavioral and psychological symptoms. Has advanced skills in specialized interventions and treatment modalities for Veterans with complex needs.
• Educating patients, family members, and significant others.
• Functioning as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team by providing consultation and treatment recommendations to professional staff within the medical units, inpatient psychiatric unit, ED, and community providers, concerning clinical assessment findings and appropriate treatment plans for the patients in his/her care.
