They are now looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team, with a strong commercial background to support the company's growth, especially in the local council sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
Contractual Management:
Lead on contractual obligations and ensure all terms are adhered to, managing all contract documentation and correspondence.
Commercial Awareness & Value Engineering:
Apply strong commercial acumen to maximise project value, manage costs, and identify value engineering opportunities to improve project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Claims Management:
Oversee and manage any claims or variations, negotiating with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve disputes in a timely manner.
Project Cost Control:
Monitor and control project budgets, including preparing cost estimates and final accounts. Although there will be some estimating duties, the role is primarily focused on cost management rather than detailed estimation.
Client Liaison:
Work closely with clients, ensuring communication is maintained throughout the project lifecycle and that the projects are delivered within scope, time, and budget.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and manage project risk by identifying and mitigating potential issues.
Travel Requirements:
While the majority of projects are based within the North West, you will be required to travel occasionally to other locations across the UK, including for site visits and meetings.

Requirements:
Experience:
Significant experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally with a background in main contracting and working on refurbishment and fit-out projects. Experience in the education, healthcare, and public sector is highly desirable.
Skills:
Strong commercial and contractual awareness, with the ability to navigate complex contract details, manage claims, and implement value engineering strategies.

Qualifications:
A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying is preferred, although not essential if you have proven experience in a similar role.
Driving License:
A full, clean UK driving license is essential for this role, as the role will require occasional travel to various sites.
Location Flexibility:
Based in the Oldham area or nearby, with the ability to travel across the North West and further afield for site visits and client meetings.
Desirable Attributes:
Ability to understand and address the potential impact of projects on local communities, particularly for public sector works.

Main Responsibilities for Senior Safety Consultant:

• You can provide expert knowledge of radiological safety assessment because you are up to date with developments in methodology and approach.

• You are experienced in providing SQEP safety support to multi-disciplinary teams addressing safety challenges, including support and development of junior colleagues.
• You can manage and maintain the relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• You can provide support to bids for new work.
• You will use your creativity and initiative to develop new capabilities through innovative approaches including the technical lead on complex R&D projects and submissions.
• You will be interested in developing team skills for radiological safety through mentoring and supervision. You can design and deliver specialist Radiological safety training within the team and across NNL.

Essential Criteria for Senior Safety Consultant:

• Degree qualified or equivalent level of demonstrable technical capability.
• Extensive experience in production of Radiological safety assessments across a variety of projects.
• Excellent level of knowledge in the specialised field of Radiological safety assessment.
• Proven ability to act independently, under own initiative, while supervising other members of the team.
• Strong communication skills, including multi-site working.
• Excellent teamworking skills, with ability to inspire the work of a team.
• Ability to obtain SC level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment, financial and criminal record checks plus 5 years' worth of UK residency).

Desirable Criteria for Senior Safety Consultant:

• Detailed knowledge of advanced assessment techniques.

• Preferably Chartered Membership of a professional institution.

A opportunity for a Planner to work with a tier 1 sized main contractor on a £300M new build industrial unit in Swindon.

I am currently assisting a market leading brand in their search for a Planner to join their Team. This is an opportunity to be site based, as well remote working. As a Planner, you will benefit from working with the existing construction team and have full support from a Planning Manager and Construction Director.

Our client take pride in the developments they deliver and have regenerated various other schemes across London in the sectors of new build, fit out and refurbishment.

This is an opportunity for a Planner to join the team on a freelance basis, for a minimum of 10 months. They are looking for someone that has a proven track record working providing support with a Main Contractor. Must have experience using ASTA and have previously worked on NEC form of contract.

Our client ar currently looking to recruit an experienced and pro-active, CIPS Qualified Buyer / Senior Buyer for their Purchasing team. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials and services, maintaining supplier relationships and driving cost-saving initiatives. You will work closely with internal departments to meet material requirements and ensure supply chain performance aligns with company expectations.

Buyer / Senior Buyer - Main Responsibilities:

• Raise and amend purchase orders via SAP, ensuring alignment with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system demands.
• Update and maintain accurate material pricing in SAP, ensuring records are current and reflect the latest agreements.
• Liaise and maintain strong communication with suppliers, fostering long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best possible value for the company.
• Monitor and manage On-Time In-Full (OTIF) expectations from suppliers, addressing any issues that arise.
• Prepare formal tenders via the Request for Quotation (RFQ) and New Product Development (NPD) processes, ensuring competitive pricing and service.
• Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives, working towards streamlining procurement operations.
• Drive savings initiatives, striving to meet or exceed annual cost-saving targets.
• Handle and resolve invoice discrepancies, supplier queries, and internal concerns in a timely and efficient manner.

Buyer / Senior Buyer - Skills & Experience

• Previous experience working as a Buyer / Senior Buyer within an industrial / general manufacturing environment
• Hold or be studying towards CIPS qualification (Level 4 minimum is required)
• SAP experience would be highly desirable
• Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative
• Ability to build and manage strong working relationships
• Ability to identify both short-term savings and longer-term opportunities to add value
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to leverage cost savings whilst maintaining service levels

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the NHS East & South East London Pathology Partnership (ESEL) Haematology Department.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Biomedical Scientist with a positive attitude, proven leadership abilities, a positive outlook, and a strong commitment to patient care by participating in a 24-hour Agenda for Change shift system.
The successful candidate will be primarily based at The Royal London Hospital site (RLH) but may be expected to cover and support other ESEL sites depending on service demand.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Red Cell Haematology section with core responsibility for the partnership’s Haemoglobinopathy services and will collaborate with Operational Leads to drive service innovation and transformation.
The department serves a diverse patient demographic and participates in the NHS Antenatal Sickle Cell & Thalassaemia Screening programme, utilizing Bio-Rad Variant II analysers. Additionally, the department utilises Winpath LIMS and Sysmex equipment for Haematology and Coagulation across all ESEL sites

Pathology is made up of the following services - Blood Sciences including Haematology, Blood Transfusion and Biochemistry; Infectious Diseases including Microbiology and Virology; Cellular Pathology including Histopathology, non-gynae Cytology and mortuary services; Immunology; Cytogenetics and Molecular Haematology; Immunophenotyping; Clinical Transplantation and Retinoblastoma.

The 2020/21 total operating costs across the Partnership were c. £126m per annum with a workforce establishment of circa. 822 WTE. Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist 30hrs PW

Blackburn with Darwen Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified psychologists with the experience, skills and competencies to undertake the duties and responsibilities of the above post in adult mental health. The post is primarily to provide assessment, psychological therapy and consultation for the care of service users within the Blackburn with Darwen areas.

The teams provide services to people with complex mental health needs. Psychological therapies and psychologically informed care are valued within the teams and network, and are fully integrated within mainstream adult mental health services. The post holder will be operationally managed within the teams as a core team member, while strong professional leadership works alongside operational management to support the role.

An interest in working with individuals experiencing significant levels of complexity and personality difficulties will be essential. Good team working skills are also essential, as are abilities in providing consultation / supervision to team colleagues and other psychological therapists. Skills in group approaches, or an interest in developing these, would be an asset.

The post holder will develop links with psychological therapists within other CMHTs and specialist networks. Clinical and professional supervision is provided, and a growing network of complex case fora and psychological therapy models afford excellent opportunities for the post holder to develop their skills in multidisciplinary team working and psychologically informed care.

Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
