Applicants are invited for the above full time Senior Clinical Fellow post for at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

This is a fixed term 12 month post with opportunity for extension. The post holder will be expected to support our consultants in delivering comprehensive care to women who attend the department.The appointee will work closely with the existing Specialist Registrars and supporting Consultants to provide a full range of obstetric and gynaecological services appropriate to a District General Hospital. It is anticipated that the candidate will provide a high standard of general obstetrics and gynaecological care.

· Ensure routine and emergency patients are seen and admitted by the FY or ST1/2, all middle grade doctors are expected to review these patients

· Daily ward rounds and visits to individual patients as appropriate

· Keeping accurate and contemporaneous medical records; these must be dated and signed, together with any other related administrative duties including discharge letters, clinic letters and review of pathology results

· Supervision of less experienced doctors when they are performing clinical duties

· Enable any emergency and/or unforeseen circumstances to be dealt with in a timely manner maintaining good communication links with both senior and junior colleagues

· To read and follow any protocols of medical cover laid down (either in writing or verbally)

· To ensure that advice is sought from a senior colleague in a timely manner when necessary

· To maintain a high standard of care by appropriate history taking, clinical assessment, investigations and treatment for safety of our patients

· To ensure all the mandatory training and required specialist training is maintained in date, including safeguarding children and adults level 3, PROMPT, fetal monitoring study days/ CTG masterclass

· To engage in clinical Governance- regular meetings, audits, guidelines keeping up to date with our local and national practice and learn from reported and investigated incidents.

Senior clinical fellows are expected to use their experience of emergency care to manage their own cases alongside supervision of junior team members.

Position Sought: Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor

My client, who is a well established Tier 1 Civil Engineering and Rail contractor, is currently looking for either a Project or Senior QS to independently manage a £13m Bridge refurbishment project based in the Bedforsdhire area as part of a billion pound railway framework.

The scope of works will mostly consist of steel work repairs, structure enhancements, grip blasting and painting. This is an ICC contract with a fixed price option. Currently, the design/procurement phase is complete with the enabling works due to start imminently.

The successful candidate will be independently be running the job, from site, and reporting into the Regional Commercial Lead. The candidate will be responsible, and therefore will need to have a good understanding, of subcontractor management, change management and dealing with variations, cost reporting and understanding of extension of time.

This is a long term freelance role with the option to work on hybrid basis which will be split between site (Bedfordshire) 2 days a week, head office (London) 1 day a week and from home 2 days a week.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8-10 years experience within a Quantity Surveyor position
• Experience working on projects related to Bridges
• Must have experience working on NEC forms of contractor or ideally ICC contracts
• Good technical knowledge of construction, bridges and structures
• Experience with cost reporting, extension of time and change management

Senior Care Assistant - Days- Flitwick Care Home, Flitwick, Bedfordshire MK45 - Part of the Country Court Family
Hours: 33.75 Hours per week, working weekends on rota
Flitwick Care Home offers specialist residential, and dementia care across 3 floors comprising of 75 rooms. Luxury facilities include a cinema, library, hair salon, treatment room and gym as well as access to beautiful landscaped gardens

ABOUT THE SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT ROLE
Within your role as a Senior Care Assistant, you can really make a difference to our residents’ lives. Your responsibilities will include:

Aiding residents emotional well-being and social needs
Administration and monitoring of medications to residents.
Supporting residents at meals time
Mentor & assist new employees.
Implement, monitor and review care plans to meet residents specific needs.
Plan, allocate & supervise the work of the team of care assistants

Duties description-

Must have the following skills:
The candidate is required to be able to source new opportunities and potential clients for our organisation. Researching businesses and industry trends to identify potential new clients and markets and ways to serve the existing clients and business objectives. Contacting potential new clients using phone and email to gauge interest and plan meetings. Meeting the new and existing client in person. Negotiating business terms with new and existing educational institutions. Training and monitoring sales team members. Attending networking opportunities including conferences and industry events related to our business model.

Salary: £30,000 to £39000 per annum depending on the experience.

Experience: Work experience in the similar field is desirable.

Work with CNS team to manage the corporate caseload at Bedford Hospital. New patient assessments and medical support to the nursing team. In conjunction with medical colleagues, carry out daily management of patients ensuring they receive appropriate medical assessment and care. Review patients regularly with medical colleagues and other members of the multidisciplinary team and agree a management plan liaising closely with the ward teams. Participate in multidisciplinary ward team meetings Attend to the needs of individual patients, their families and/or carers, attending family meetings and case conferences as required. To liaise with, and provide advice to, General Practitioners, and other members of the Primary Healthcare Team in assisting in the support of patients in the community Provide medical advice and consultation to the hospital and follow up outpatient consultations for colleagues as required. Keep accurate, professional and contemporaneous records. Ensure that all prescribing is in accordance with Bedfordshire Hospital policies and statutory requirements. Liaise with other health professionals in a variety of contexts to plan and review care required. Support the CNS team including any nurse prescribers with clinical and education supervision. Provide guidance on ethical issues emerging in relation to patient care. Work with the Governance and Clinical teams in overseeing and maintaining Support the End of Life Strategy by contributing to teaching programme
