The Role

• We are looking to appoint a Senior Environmental Consultant who has relevant experience in the water sector. Of particular interest is an understanding of and experience in one or more water related environmental assessment and monitoring technical disciplines, such as estuarine hydrodynamics, estuarine water quality, estuarine related fieldwork. We also require the following key competencies and experience:


• Understanding of the UK water industry and its regulation.


• Understanding of one of the following disciplines:


• Hydrodynamics


• Water quality


• Environmental permitting.


• Ability to manage water environmental projects, including supply chain.


• Expertise in the installation and associated data from hydrometric, oceanographic and water quality instrumentation.


• Strong project management skills to ensure a high level of service.


• Experience in supporting on proposals.


• An environmentally related degree (ideally with a post-graduate qualification also).


• Boating handling experience and qualifications.


• A clean full UK driving licence.

This role will manage and support all of aspects of estates maintenance in relation to fire compliance. This includes the organising and reporting and report on planned preventative maintenance activities related to statutory and mandatory requirements as stated in legislation, regulations, British standards and health technical memorandum.

You will support an improvement programme in Estates Compliance focusing on fire. You will weview and implement new processes and systems in relation to statutory and mandatory planned preventative maintenance that assists in reporting Estates Compliance across UHBW.

Your role will include:
• Assist with those delivering new capital developments, both operational and strategic, to ensure that the impact on existing fire related assets, installations and the design of new ones is appropriate and is optimal for the future performance of the estate.
• Be responsible for the planned (PPM) programmes for fire related installations, reviewing these regularly to ensure that statutory, mandatory and best practice is observed and that they are safe, efficient and effective in operation. Continually review what reactive maintenance is undertaken to assist in understanding asset performance.
• Initiate and implement solutions using new technology to address problematic maintenance issues.
• Participate in the 24-hour emergency ‘On Call Rota’ for all maintenance services.

Senior Nurse Duties: The post holder will exercise a high degree of personal and professional autonomy and have the ability to plan and reach complex and critical judgments and have decision making skills. To deliver high quality clinical care within the Integrated Healthcare Service for the prison. This will include acute & primary care, long term conditions management, enhanced assessment and diagnostic intervention services and health promotion activities and be in line with the NHS Plan, public health indicators and National Service Frameworks. To demonstrate and provide robust expert clinical skills with a sound understanding of evidence-based nursing practice to provide a pro-active approach to ensure quality and outcome driven practice on a day-to-day basis. To support the development of evidence-based practice in the specialist field and to promote research as appropriate. To participate in managerial and professional clinical supervision programme, to ensure junior staff receive appropriate supervision, training and annual appraisal and to ensure that it becomes an integral part of team practice. To work in accordance with Trust policies and guidelines To be familiar with Prison Standards, Standing Orders, Circular instructions, Notices to Staff, Health and Safety and all other relevant material to function as an informed practitioner within a prison setting.
