Our partner school are seeking a BSL TA to begin in September and run the course of the full academic year. You will support provisions that provide support for pupils with Hearing Impairment and hold a Level 1 BSL qualification or above (Signature / CACDP) as well as practical experience of using, teaching, or supporting BSL.
Ideal requirements
- British Sign language (BSL) qualification
- Experience working with children/young people with Special Educational Needs
- Ability to relay B.S.L. from hearing impaired students to non-signing students
- Be dedicated, engaging and inspiring
- Be committed to ensuring pupils make good, sustained progress
- Assist and support the classroom teacher with the day-to-day running of a class.
- Passionate to change the lives of young people.
- Adapt to challenges and follow appropriate protocols to facilitate effective learning experiences.
- Excels in building solid relationships with students and staff.
- Adaptable and can overcome challenges whilst following appropriate protocol.
