You will:
- Advise and support EPA's senior leaders on international program and policy development that involves coordination with international organizations; develop incisive analyses and innovative policy options concerning the office's international programs.
- Coordinate development and implementation of environmental programs in collaboration with other National Program Managers (NPMs) and Regions, with partner federal entities, such as the Department of State and United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and with multilateral organizations, including the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), Arctic Council, Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), World Health Organization (WHO), and the like.
- Ensure clear, effective communication among workgroup members and with stakeholders; represent management in domestic and international meetings; brief Office of International and Tribal Affairs (OITA) management on issues that are often complex or controversial; and write position papers, talking points, and other materials for use by EPA leadership.
You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
