About the Position
As a Data Engineer intern, you'll be an integral part of our organization's digital transformation, collaborating within a dynamic Agile team to develop data pipelines that power analytical solutions. These solutions will unlock valuable insights from our interconnected data, driving data-driven decision-making across the enterprise. Your role will directly impact our database administration efforts as we undergo this transformation. With hands-on experience in data architecture, engineering, analysis, and reporting, you'll contribute to creating data products that support analytical solutions, gaining invaluable insights into database administration within a digital transformation context. We're seeking candidates skilled in data and software engineering, with a willingness to learn and adapt, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for collaboration within a technical, cross-functional analytics team. Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining data architecture and pipelines to meet data engineering principles and business objectives.
- Work on solving challenging data problems to deliver insights that help the organization achieve its goals.
- Collaborate on creating data products for analytics and data scientist team members to enhance their productivity.
- Learn and provide support, guidance, and mentorship to other data and analytic professionals on data standards and practices.
- Contribute to fostering a culture of sharing, re-use, scalability, stability, and operational efficiency within data and analytical solutions.
- Participate in the evaluation, implementation, and deployment of emerging tools and processes for analytic data engineering to improve team productivity.
- Assist in developing and delivering communication and education plans on analytic data engineering capabilities, standards, and processes.
- Collaborate with Product Analysts, Product Owners, and Solutions Architects to contribute to technical architectures for strategic enterprise projects and initiatives.
- Learn about various data science domains such as machine learning, computer vision, artificial intelligence, statistics, and applied mathematics.
Domain Expertise:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering.
- Strong passion for Agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and experimentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile product team environment.
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and learning skills.
- Flexible and adaptable to changes in work direction as projects evolve.
- Excellent communication, listening, and influencing skills.
Agile/Digital Experience:
- Willingness to learn and engage with Agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and experimentation.
Individual Skills:
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and learning skills.
- Flexibility to changes in work direction as the project develops.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Sitting, working at desk/personal computer for extended periods of time.
