• As a DevOps Engineer (Digital Bank), you will be part of our digital infrastructure technology team to manage and oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the bank’s infrastructure and platform systems. This position plays a critical role in establishing and maintaining a robust and scalable technology foundation for the bank in enabling the smooth operation and delivery of applications and services
  • Develop and execute the strategy for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Lead a team responsible for implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and release management processes.
  • Define and enforce CI/CD standards, best practices, and workflows across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including development teams, quality assurance, and operations, to gather requirements and prioritize CI/CD initiatives.
  • Design and implement robust and scalable CI/CD pipelines, incorporating build automation, testing, deployment, and monitoring processes.
  • Manage and oversee the configuration, maintenance, and performance of CI/CD tools and platforms, such as Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the CI/CD pipelines, implementing appropriate controls, access restrictions, and encryption mechanisms.
  • Monitor and optimize CI/CD processes and tools to improve efficiency, reliability, and time to market for software releases.
  • Collaborate with development teams to streamline application code integration, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Facilitate collaboration and communication between development, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient software delivery.
  • Define and implement metrics and reporting mechanisms to track CI/CD pipeline performance, quality, and efficiency.

• • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information System or a related field preferred; or with equivalent work experience together with professional certifications
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in DevOps, software engineering or similar technical roles, preferably in large-scale enterprise environments. 
  • Proficiency in various DevOps tools and including experience with source code management systems (e.g., Git), build automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI), configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef), containerization platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and infrastructure-as-code frameworks (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is also required.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD principles, best practices, and methodologies is necessary. Have hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous integration, automated testing, and deployment of software applications. Familiar with tools for automated testing, static code analysis, code quality, and artifact management.
  • Knowledge of system architecture and infrastructure components is important for optimizing CI/CD processes. Understand scalable and highly available infrastructure designs, network configurations, and security considerations.
  • Having professional certifications and qualifications related to a DevOps Engineer is an added key advantage – examples include but not limited to Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Jenkins Engineer, Docker Certified Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, etc

The General Engineer/Architect is responsible for project management with emphasis on projects involving new or existing facilities and infrastructure systems. Also provides project management expertise in the capital construction and facility renewal sector with focuses on providing budget, cost, schedule expertise along with the coordination, direction, and oversight of various projects.

Duties include:

Project Management

• Develops and manages the design and implementation of multiple construction projects. Projects may include repair, renovation, rehabilitation, alteration and new construction of buildings, infrastructure systems, and landscapes.
• Provides life-cycle project management for a wide range of facilities- and landscape-related new construction and renovation projects with responsibility to ensure efficient coordination of multiple projects.
• Works with stakeholders to develop project scopes of work for various projects and tasks, ranging from existing facilities and infrastructure system projects to long-term capital projects and studies.
• Plans and manages various complex project management functions with project teams and makes decisions affecting areas of responsibility that are precedent setting.
• Serves as a specialist and a key source of information for assigned areas of responsibility and accountability. Provides professional expertise in evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of the facilities program and project management functions and recommends improvements to management.
• Coordinates with the Operations, Horticulture, Administrative Services, and Learning and Engagement Divisions to develop, fund, implement, and track facilities projects.
• Responsible for the development and oversight of studies and design documents as defined in the AOC Project Management Manual.
• Ensures state-of-the-art design of new construction and renovations, alterations, or upgrades of existing facilities in accordance with established criteria, codes, and design standards.
• Prepares and updates schedules for project delivery, implementing a system for review, control and reporting. Routinely reviews project schedules to ensure reasonable and timely implementation.
• Communicates clearly and often with the Director of Capital Projects & Facilities, AOC and USBG project managers in coordinating with AOC staff and officials of affected jurisdictions to keep them informed on project planning.
• Promptly informs the USBG management of project related issues and recommends solutions to prevent critical problems or failures relating to project performance.

Consultant/Contractor Oversight

• Provides design and management guidance to professional Architect/Engineers (A/E) firms and actively monitors performance.
• Serves as the Contracting Officers Representative (COR) to review compliance with A/E contract requirements and specifications.
• Guides and evaluates contractor efforts and technical progress to the established schedule and allocated resources.
• Reviews and evaluates deliverables, submittals, shop drawings, and progress schedules for conformance to the contract.
• Completes fiscal and physical closeout of the project, including writing the final contractor review.

Technical Advice and Guidance

• Provides guidance, technical advice and consultation on project administration. Conducts studies to develop criteria for situations encountered during field inspections.
• Assess and prioritize work based on past experience, subject matter insight, and organizational goals and objectives. 
• Represents organization on panels and Post Occupancy Evaluation teams to identify and recommend design changes and to recommend new and improved design criteria and standards

Responsible for thoroughly understanding and ensuring compliance with applicable AOC and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety rules and regulations. Efforts ensure that work progresses in a safe manner and takes corrective actions to mitigate unsafe conditions. Ensures that Job Hazard Analysis’ are developed and followed and that required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is utilized.

Plans and accomplishes highly complex and challenging projects/programs and other work activities under the minimal direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced engineer. May act as a principal technical specialist or as a project/program manager or team leader for large work activities. Provides liaison and coordination of the NAS on all implementation and integration planned efforts between technical operations and air traffic operations. Provides operations advocacy functions for the Districts to the Service Area, Airports Districts Offices, Flight Standards District Offices, Headquarters, and Program Offices for critical NAS maintenance and infrastructure. Reviews, analyzes and makes recommendations on engineering plans and specifications for NAS modernization and transition projects, assists in preparation of risk mitigation plans, and develops detailed comments addressing maintainability issues for the District.

Applies experience and comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles, theories, and concepts applicable to the discipline, as well as an understanding of new technologies and methodologies, to solve complex problems and to develop improved technical processes for the organization. Considers the objectives of the major subdivision and LOB/SO when developing, integrating and implementing solutions to diverse, complex problems. Assignments frequently require knowledge and experience working across functional and/or organizational lines. Typical assignments may include system design and integration; extensive research; and direct responsibility for project/program management. Analyzes impacts of proposed projects on NAS operations, monitors projects from all sources for conflicts within technical operations, and ensures that implementation plans for transition projects are thoroughly integrated with major NAS plans. Prepares briefings, presentations and/or point papers for coordinating the prioritization of projects within the Tech Ops District.

Defines, organizes, and assigns resources to accomplish organizational objectives. Allocates resources to accomplish large work activities within established schedules. Provides validation of Life Cycle Management needs and coordinates with national, regional, and district staffs in the establishment of projects and in the accomplishment of NAS transition and integration activities. Reviews and validates Corporate Work Plan project submissions for Tech Ops District facility maintenance, sustainment and replacement project needs and operations emergency project funding needs. Incumbent interacts with financial and planning organizations to ensure adequate funding and estimates are available for the projects and programs, and dictates requirements in accordance with District objectives and strategies. Prepares recommendations for necessary movement of funds to ensure projects/programs are accomplished in a timely manner.

Contacts are internal and external. Often represents FAA as a senior technical point of contact on projects, programs and other work activities. Communicates results to all levels internally (within an LOB/SO or across LOB/SOs) and externally. Plays a lead role in drafting, reviewing, and editing reports or contractual documents for final approval prior to external distribution. Presents briefings to obtain consensus/approval on policies. Coordinates significant technical matters with representatives of external organizations.

Broad policies and objectives provide general guidance for addressing issues, but allow considerable discretion to develop new and innovative approaches. Draws on experience to solve unusual problems and may create new solutions and policy interpretations as the situation requires. Provides policy guidance and instruction to others, both internally and externally.
