Job Description:
As a Tender Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive estimates and tender documents for construction projects. You will play a critical role in securing new projects by ensuring that our bids are competitive, accurate, and aligned with our client's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
Tender Documentation: Develop tender documentation, including bills of quantities, pricing schedules, and contract terms.
Bid Coordination: Collaborate with the business development and project management teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
Supplier and Subcontractor Management: Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks associated with the project and propose risk mitigation strategies.
Value Engineering: Suggest value engineering options to optimize project costs while maintaining quality.
Competitive Analysis: Analyze competitor bids and market pricing trends to ensure competitiveness.
Client Engagement: Engage with clients to clarify project requirements and specifications.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all tender documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector, with a focus on tendering.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, costs, and processes.
Proficiency in estimating and quantity surveying software.
Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
