As a Financial Analyst, you will:

• Serve as an expert who has mastered the review of financial statements, assessing the financial status of HUD program recipients, and developing strategies for solving current and future financial problems.
• Provide financial analysis to ensure HUD program participants' compliance with HUD requirements and regulatory agreements, protect the FHA fund, and determine that funds and subsidies are used properly, effectively, and efficiently.

As a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst, you will perform the following duties:

• Provide advice and guidance to management on financial management issues, developing and interpreting policies and procedures, conducting studies, analyses, and program reviews, coordinating special projects, and assisting Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) management in planning and managing financial activities. Serve as principal liaison with financial staff in OFCO to keep informed of changes in policies and procedures or other matters affecting financial management. Serve as liaison with Inspector General and General Accounting Office audit teams, providing information as requested.
• Participate in the planning and directing of a comprehensive financial services program designed to identify and obtain the financial resources needed by the Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) and to oversee the use of those resources. Participate in the development and review of financial terms and conditions contained in interagency and intra-agency agreements, memoranda of understanding, or other formal agreements with FAS customer agencies. Monitor the completion of Certification of Funds to ensure we are meeting our performance goals.

Project cover topics such as evaluating the feasibility of extending delegated authorities to additional components, assessing the effectiveness of cost allocation procedures, or improving the accessibility of information on funds availability. Serve as an executive leader on project teams requiring additional staff. Ensure proper communication with, and provision of customer service to client agencies regarding issues such as questions on bills, funding document balances, task order status, and account reconciliation.

As a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst, you will perform the following duties: 

• Oversee, manage and direct staff regarding reviews and analyses of systems and procedures related to Public Buildings Service (PBS) financial management activities to assure the accuracy, utility, and validity of the systems, procedures and reports. Oversee, review and coordinate the issuance of various PBS financial management reports. Oversee and provide support and assistance to other regional staff and operational elements in the design, conduct, and/or review of internal controls required for accurate financial reporting.
